Far North soul beasts maintain far wider territorial separations than human sects. The Ice Empress considers distances of only a few hundred li between major human factions intolerably close; territories in the Far North are generally separated by at least one hundred li, while overlords’ domains may be thousands of li apart. 105

Connection to Nan Feng

Nan Feng first entered the Far North while seeking high-grade frigid materials for Soul Tool construction. His initial encounter with the territorial Snow Empress became a battle that ranged across the ice plains for more than half a month; neither side could defeat the other, and they eventually ceased fighting from exhaustion. 95

Over roughly the next decade, Nan Feng repeatedly returned to collect materials, gradually becoming close friends with the Snow Empress and Ice Empress. Before beginning the God of Evil’s trials, he promised to return and take them to see the God Realm if he achieved godhood. 35 95

Nan Feng was absent for fifty years during his trials, leading the Twin Empresses to believe he had died. He returned to the Far North with Tang Yuehua and signaled for them by projecting his Peerless Douluo aura across the ice plains through spatial power. 94 95
