Background

Nan Feng arrived in the Douluo Continent as a transmigrator at an era so early that Tang Chen and Qian Daoliu had not yet risen to prominence. His dark-attributed twin Spider Emperor martial souls were rejected as incompatible with the Sea God’s inheritance, leading Poseidon to direct him toward the Capital of Slaughter instead. There, the God of Evil selected him for divine trials. 1

Before pursuing godhood, Nan Feng cultivated in secrecy within the Sunset Forest and used the immortal herbs at the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well to temper his body. After reaching level 99, he raided the Heaven Dou Imperial Palace for the Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud and attempted to obtain the Sea God’s inheritance on Sea God Island. 1 37 172

Before reaching his later status, Nan Feng’s martial soul awakened prematurely during a bandit attack.
