Tai Tan is described as Tang Hao's most loyal servant. He belongs to a three-generation household alongside Tai Nuo and Tai Long, all of whom follow Tang Hao's orders. The trio later relocates to Shrek Academy in Suotuo City, where they address Tang Xiaomei as “Young Mistress.” 142 169
Tang Hao brings Tai Tan, his family, and members of the other affiliated clans to Sea God Island in an attempt to restrain the Sea Soul Masters. The plan fails due to the continental Soul Masters' disadvantage on the island; Tai Tan and the others are forced to serve the Sea Soul Masters as “clucking chickens.” 235
Tai Tan later appears among the Tang Family's kneeling retainers at the Sea God Temple. He fawningly kneels before Tang Hao, extravagantly congratulates her on the awakenings of Xiao Wu and Tang Wutong, and praises the children as exceptional descendants. 240 241
At the Sea God Temple, Tai Tan faces Qian Xunji's Slaughter Domain, which suppresses his power so severely that he is overcome with terror. Tian Yue subsequently throws the defeated Tang Hao into the kneeling retainers, sending Tai Tan and the others flying. 242 243

Sea God Temple Incident
Tai Tan is present among the retainers kneeling at the Sea God Temple when Qian Xunji and Tian Yue confront Tang Hao. He flatters Tang Hao following Xiao Wu and Tang Wutong's awakenings, but Qian Xunji's Slaughter Domain soon leaves him terrified and nearly powerless.
