Background / History

Tang Chen pursued godhood after Bo Saixi stated that she would accept whoever reached level 100. Believing this promise, he entered Slaughter City in pursuit of the Asura God's inheritance, where he was parasitized by the Blood-Red Nine-Headed Bat King. The Sky Screen's arrival restored his consciousness and allowed him to reclaim his body; he subsequently passed the eighth Asura God trial. 4

His long absence left him physically depleted, poisoned, and visibly altered. Bo Saixi barely recognized him without his Clear Sky Hammer, though she recognized that he had once reached level 99 by his own strength. 5

After learning that Spirit Hall had suppressed the Clear Sky Sect, Tang Chen returned to defend his sect's honor and marched alone on Spirit City. His return prompted Tang Xiao and the Clear Sky Sect to mobilize, while allied upper sects also sent reinforcements. 16 17

Clear Sky Sect Honor and Tang San

When Tang San tops the Scumbag Ranking, Tang Chen publicly rejects the idea that he could belong to the Clear Sky Sect and vows to kill him if he is a direct descendant. Once Tang Xiao confirms Tang San's identity, Tang Chen is devastated and disowns him. 9 10 21

Assault on Spirit City

Outraged by Spirit Hall's treatment of the Clear Sky Sect, Tang Chen challenges Qian Daoliu at Spirit City. To protect Tang Xiao's forces, he detonates his divine ring and launches a city-destroying hammer attack, but Duan Changsheng intervenes and defeats him. 17 18 20

Death-Seclusion and Combat Power Ranking Reward
