"Lord Champa, have you forgotten about the Time Ring?"
Seeing their God of Destruction once again distracted by the prospect of food, Vados couldn't help but offer a reminder.
"Oh, right, right, right."
Champa slapped his own forehead, nearly forgetting the business at hand.
He then placed one hand on his hip and pointed a finger at Gamos with the other.
"Hey, kid, how do you have a Time Ring? Start talking."
Champa struck a fierce pose, but paired with his chubby face, it lacked any real intimidation.
Gamos wasn't afraid; he figured he would deal with everything once they reached Earth. When it came to handling big shots, the protagonist had to be the one to step up.
Although this wasn't the main timeline and Son Goku could only be considered half a protagonist, he was still far beyond what a background character like himself could compare to. One should never underestimate the power of the protagonist's halo.
Facing the interrogation, Gamos simply offered a faint smile.
"Lord Champa, this isn't the place to talk. I'll explain everything to you once we reach Earth!"
Champa and Vados exchanged a glance before nodding in agreement.
"Fine then. Once we get to Earth, we'll talk while we eat. If the food isn't good, or if you've done something outrageous, I won't be going easy on you!"
"Vados, let's go!"
Vados covered her mouth and chuckled. "Lord Champa, have you forgotten how he arrived? Besides, we don't know the way!"
Hearing Vados's words, Champa finally realized that the target of his attack had suddenly vanished, and then Gamos had appeared.
Though he didn't know how it happened, there was no doubt the boy had used Instant Transmission.
Hearing Vados, Gamos, showing great situational awareness, stepped forward and held out his hands.
Champa and Vados each took hold of his hands, and in the next instant, Gamos activated Instant Transmission, returning to Earth in the blink of an eye.
Piccolo's eyes widened. Was this fat cat in front of him really a God of Destruction?
"So this is Earth?"
Champa looked left and right. The mountains and rivers were lush, and the scenery wasn't bad, but Champa hadn't come here to sightsee.
"Hey, kid, where's the food?"
Champa was somewhat dissatisfied. He had seen plenty of beautiful natural scenery; gourmet food was his only goal.
"Don't worry, Lord Champa. I've already notified my friends to prepare it. I guarantee you'll be able to eat the freshest delicacies!"
After hanging up the phone, Gamos looked at Piccolo and spoke again.
"Piccolo, could you please go find Goku and the others? It's about time they finished their training!"
Piccolo nodded, flicked his cape, and departed with a flourish.
After a year of spending time together, Piccolo had long since understood Gamos's personality: he wanted to get stronger, but he'd let someone else handle the heavy lifting.
The legendary God of Destruction was definitely not easy to deal with, and Gamos was clearly trying to pass the buck!
Goku, you'd better be careful.
"Lord Champa, this way!"
Gamos gestured for them to follow and took flight toward Bulma's home.
It wasn't that Gamos was trying to sabotage Bulma by leading every disaster to her doorstep; it was simply that her home was the Saiyans' free cafeteria, and that was where one naturally went to eat.
To feed the few Saiyans, Bulma had hired three teams of chefs, working in shifts around the clock—it was absurd.
Arriving at the familiar courtyard, Gamos immediately spotted Bulma directing the chefs on where to set the tables.
"Bulma!"
Seeing the goddess of his childhood, Gamos landed and rushed over, intending to dive into her arms.
Hearing his voice, Bulma turned around, but just as she opened her arms to catch him, a figure suddenly appeared. Gamos couldn't brake in time, and the person simply extended a leg and kicked him flying.
With a loud bang, Gamos crashed into the swimming pool in the distance.
The person who had arrived was none other than Vegeta, whom he hadn't seen in a long time.
Vegeta crossed his arms and let out a disdainful snort, maintaining his usual arrogant demeanor.
Bulma's mouth twitched as she watched. She truly hadn't expected her cold-hearted man to be so jealous.
"Vegeta, Gamos is still just a child."
"He is no child. Children don't understand so much. If his soul and body weren't so perfectly in sync, I'd suspect he was a Zamasu!"
Just then, Champa and Vados descended from the sky, landing in front of the two.
"Oh, humans!"
Vegeta was startled. That familiar skin color, that familiar style—even if he was a bit fatter, he recognized him instantly. Wasn't this the God of Destruction he had seen before?
Vegeta was struck with terror. After all these years, seeing a God of Destruction again, he had thought he would have the courage to face him, perhaps even settle the old score. Yet, he realized that even with his current strength, the being before him still felt like an bottomless abyss.
Cold sweat broke out on his forehead. Compelled by the overwhelming pressure, Vegeta hurriedly stood his ground.
"Welcome, Lord Beerus, to our humble abode."
Vegeta, who had been acting arrogant just a moment ago, instantly bowed at a ninety-degree angle.
"Tch, that was Instant Transmission you used just now, wasn't it, kid?"
"Y-yes, it was!"
"Tch, look at you, shaking like that. How pathetic. Has Instant Transmission become so cheap these days? It's not as freakishly efficient as the one the Guardian uses, but it's still quite handy."
Champa walked straight past him toward the dining table.
"And another thing, I am not Beerus. I am Champa, the God of Destruction of Universe 6!"
Hearing Champa's voice from behind him, Vegeta finally let out a sigh of relief.
Upon reaching the table, Champa sniffed the air; it smelled delicious.
He casually lifted the lid off a plate, revealing dozens of small, neatly arranged balls.
"What are these?"
Champa used his long fingernail to spear one and popped it into his mouth.
The Takoyaki burst open, and the savory flavor instantly conquered his taste buds.
Having tasted Earth's cuisine for the first time, Champa couldn't help but widen his eyes. What kind of divine delicacy was this? It was simply too delicious.
"Oho, this is fantastic!"
Champa grabbed a fork from the side and began shoveling them into his mouth frantically.
Seeing his master in such a state, Vados couldn't help but cover her forehead. The image of a God of Destruction was completely ruined. Oh well, she might as well taste the food herself.
Vados opened another plate to find a few cupcakes. She used a fork to bring one to her lips, and the sweet, delectable sensation made her feel as if she were ascending to heaven.
"Mmm, this is truly delicious."
Having tasted Earth's food for the first time, both master and servant were stunned and immediately began to wolf it down.
However, Champa didn't care about his image at all, stuffing his face with huge mouthfuls.
As an angel, Vados's eating habits were much more ladylike; she took small bites and chewed gracefully. Of course, that was only if one ignored the speed at which she was chewing—it was as if she were playing at ten times the speed.
"Would you like to eat some as well? We have plenty of food from the chef at home," Bulma joked.
Vegeta shook his head decisively. Are you kidding? This is a God of Destruction. Even if he might not be the one from his memories, how much difference could there be between two Gods of Destruction?
Gamos flew out of the water, and with a slight exertion of his Ki, the water droplets on his body evaporated instantly.
It had been a year, and Vegeta, whom he could have crushed with a flick of his finger, actually dared to ambush him? Had he lost his edge?
"Vegeta!"
Gamos walked over, fuming, his face clearly showing how angry he was.
"Shut up, you brat. If you dare lay a finger on my wife again, I'll wipe you out."
"Heh, in other timelines Bulma might be your wife, but in this one, that's not necessarily the case!"
"Besides, you're 20,000 years too early to defeat me. If you hadn't ambushed me just now, I could have swatted you away with a single slap. Whatever 'upper-class warrior' you think you are, you're nothing but a fart in front of me, the Legendary Super Saiyan."
If you want to be arrogant, I can be even more arrogant. As a transmigrator, Gamos might not have a system that could crush the heavens, but he still had his own dignity.
Vegeta snorted coldly and said nothing more, turning his gaze toward Champa, who was still busy eating.
Three streaks of light cut across the sky as two Son Gokus and one Vegeta appeared.
"Hi! Gamos, long time no see."
Son Goku greeted him first, and Gamos returned the gesture before asking, "How long did you spend in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber this year? How is your strength now?"
Son Goku looked at the Vegeta beside him and said, "Didn't Vegeta tell you? We spent three days in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, plus this past year, that makes four years in total."
"By now, Krillin and Yamcha have fully adapted to their bodies and have mastered the Super Saiyan Blue transformation. Vegeta and I have also reached the Full Power Super Saiyan 2 state."
"Soon, we'll be able to transform into Super Saiyan Grade 3."
Whenever the topic turned to training, Son Goku was filled with excitement. With the future bodies serving as a beacon on their path of cultivation, many problems that once seemed unsolvable now had solutions.
At the same time, with enough pressure and sufficiently strong opponents, their progress over the past few years had been rapid.
Gamos nodded. Such progress was indeed fast; at the very least, it was far more powerful than what was recorded in standard history.
At this point in time, the Android crisis was only a few years away. When he used to watch Dragon Ball, he was too focused on the intense transformations to pay much attention to the specific timeline, but it shouldn't be too far off.
According to the original plot, even when facing a perfect Cell, Son Goku, Vegeta, and future Trunks had only mastered the Full Power Super Saiyan state. If it hadn't been for Son Gohan breaking his limits through extreme rage at the last moment to become a true Super Saiyan 2, that battle would have been lost.
Son Goku and Vegeta didn't fully master Super Saiyan 2 until the Majin Buu arc.
However, the thought of the future Androids gave Gamos a headache.
It was precisely because Trunks had traveled back in time and caused everyone to grow stronger that Dr. Gero had increased the power of his Androids. The most obvious examples were Android 16 and 17; in the future, they were only equivalent to a standard Super Saiyan, but in the main timeline, one of them could easily take on two.
If his own strength caused Cell to play it safe and train for four months to become a Golden Cell, that would really be no fun at all.
"Is that the God of Destruction you were talking about?"
While Gamos was still deep in thought, Son Goku looked toward Champa, who was still eating!
By the time Gamos snapped back to reality, Son Goku had already walked toward him in his usual carefree manner.
