Background / History

Tang San founded the Tang Sect roughly twenty thousand years before the story. His legends, twin martial souls, and innate full soul power remained central to the sect's reputation; Tang Wulin's awakening of Blue Silver Grass and the Clear Sky Hammer immediately prompted comparisons to the founder 3 14.

The sect maintained close ties with Shrek Academy and the reclusive Clear Sky Sect. The Clear Sky Sect traditionally aided Shrek when needed, while Tang Sect and Shrek were described as sharing glory and hardship for twenty thousand years 14 81.

By the Sun Moon Federation era, the Tang Sect stood among the Federation's four great powers, alongside Shrek Academy, the Spirit Pagoda, and the War God Hall. Destruction of the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well

Han Li entered the Tang Sect's restricted Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well without affiliation to the sect, absorbed its immortal herbs and life essence, and left the valley barren. The twin springs, herbs, and poisonous miasma all vanished 71 73.

Zang Xin discovered the destruction and declared that the Tang Sect would not rest until either it or “Li Feiyu” was destroyed. He ordered all disciples to suspend non-emergency duties and hunt the unknown culprit despite possessing only a name 73.

Continent-Wide Manhunt

Tang Sect teams searched cities, transportation hubs, ports, hotels, and markets across the continent. Their broad inspections disrupted travel and trade, while other factions avoided intervening because of the sect's anger 74.

The operation failed to identify Li Feiyu; the sect had no information regarding his appearance, age, martial soul, or cultivation level 74.

Star Luo Branch Collapse

Han Li infiltrated the Tang Sect's Star Luo branch, killed its leader Hu Jie, and seized the Dragon Valley Minor Plane coordinates 86.

After later capturing the branch's replacement representative, Han Li forced him to disclose every resource-storage location in the Star Luo Empire. Han Li then emptied the branch's warehouses, leaving its accumulated soul tools, rare metals, and spiritual materials gone 96 97.

Loss of Zang Xin and Headquarters

Zang Xin disappeared alongside War God Hall Master Chen Xinjie, leaving Tang Sect elders to jointly maintain operations under Cao Dezhi's guidance 102.

Han Li subsequently entered Tang Sect headquarters, confirmed that he had killed Zang Xin, and demanded all sect resources. He killed elders who resisted, delayed, falsified the resource inventory, or fled with concealed assets 109.

The remaining elders were executed after Han Li returned. The sect treasury was then looted, and reports described the Tang Sect's upper echelon as annihilated 110.
