Background / History
Qiangu Dongfeng leads the Spirit Pagoda and has managed its affairs for decades. His family’s hostility toward Shrek Academy stems from an incident in which Shrek’s Supreme Elder, Long Yeyue, publicly slapped and humiliated his father, Qiangu Dieting. The Spirit Pagoda and Shrek subsequently became open rivals. 40

Qiangu Dongfeng learns of Han Li’s unprecedented talent through the East Sea City Spirit Pagoda and recruits him to represent the organization against Shrek Academy in the Sky Sea Grand Competition. He offers a 100,000-year spirit bone because he expects Shrek to retaliate after its defeat. 41
After Han Li defeats Shen Yi, Qiangu Dongfeng warns him of Shrek’s likely response, recommends the Blood God Legion as a place for life-or-death tempering, and supplies defensive equipment and a recommendation letter. 49 50
Alliance Against Shrek
Following Han Li’s decision to join the Body Sect, Qiangu Dongfeng clarifies that their relationship is a transaction: the Spirit Pagoda has invested resources, and Han Li will provide returns by opposing Shrek. He asks Han Li to suppress Shrek’s freshmen and promises to shield him from subsequent retaliation. 56 57

Conflict with Yun Ming
