Qiangu Dongfeng leads the Spirit Pagoda and has managed its affairs for decades. His family’s hostility toward Shrek Academy stems from an incident in which Shrek’s Supreme Elder, Long Yeyue, publicly slapped and humiliated his father, Qiangu Dieting. The Spirit Pagoda and Shrek subsequently became open rivals. 40

After Han Li defeats Shen Yi, Qiangu Dongfeng warns him of Shrek’s likely response, recommends the Blood God Legion as a place for life-or-death tempering, and supplies defensive equipment and a recommendation letter. 49 50

Alliance Against Shrek

Following Han Li’s decision to join the Body Sect, Qiangu Dongfeng clarifies that their relationship is a transaction: the Spirit Pagoda has invested resources, and Han Li will provide returns by opposing Shrek. He asks Han Li to suppress Shrek’s freshmen and promises to shield him from subsequent retaliation. 56 57

Qiangu Dongfeng’s plans are partly fulfilled when Han Li kills Long Yeyue, ending the grievance over his father’s humiliation. Qiangu Dongfeng abandons several prepared schemes because his foremost goal has already been achieved. 64

Conflict with Yun Ming

Yun Ming wrongly attributes the deaths of Cai Yue’er and Long Yeyue to Qiangu Dongfeng and attacks Spirit Pagoda headquarters. Qiangu Dongfeng attempts to defend himself with the Coiling Dragon Staff but is severely injured by three spear strikes and left embedded in the shattered gate. 66

After Shrek’s upper echelon is eliminated, Qiangu Dongfeng exploits the resulting vacuum by removing Shrek representatives from the Federation Council and taking Tang Sect seats. 107
