Background / History

Qiancao was born the younger son of an Uchiha logistics family. Dull and unable to speak from birth, he lived under his parents' protection while his elder brother Qianshu served the clan. Qianshu's death in battle triggered Qiancao's first Sharingan awakening; when his parents attempted to flee with him rather than surrender his eyes, Uchiha clansmen killed them and captured Qiancao. 1 3

His present soul originated from a university student who fell asleep while studying and found himself in Qiancao's body. After regaining control, he recognized the Uchiha crest and realized he had arrived in the world of Naruto, during the early Warring States period. 1 6

The Uchiha imprisoned him beneath Naka Shrine for Sharingan research. Uchiha Hiri delayed his intended fate by proposing that he be housed with Wuming, hoping their bond would strengthen Wuming before the clan eventually harvested Qiancao's eyes. Instead, Qiancao and Wuming became each other's first dependable companion. 2 3

While confined, Qiancao learned Japanese from Wuming, chakra control, wall-walking, hand seals, and Fire Style. He discovered that a seal on his stomach restricted him to roughly ten percent of his chakra. He began training specifically to escape rather than wait for the Uchiha to release him. 6 8 9

Qiancao left Uchiha territory on a mission to Mount Hakkoda alongside Wuming, Hiri, and Keisuke. After Keisuke critically wounded Wuming, Qiancao's hatred and desire to protect her caused his Mangekyo Sharingan to awaken. He defeated Keisuke, whose body was subsequently exposed as a host for Black Zetsu. 18 19 20

After escaping the battle, Qiancao chose to save Senju Arashi despite initially considering her an enemy. He, Wuming, Hiri, and Arashi later formed an uneasy but increasingly trusting group. Arashi brought Qiancao toward the Uzumaki Clan for help removing the Uchiha seals. 20 22 26

Qiancao became Uzumaki Ayako's apprentice in the Land of Whirlpools. Over the following three years, he trained through missions, sparring, ninjutsu practice, and the collection of combat experience for his Mangekyo ability. 38 44 47

After Ayako removed his final seal, Qiancao departed with Wuming for the Land of Water. Under the identity of a Kaneda clan representative, he began investigating Uchiha activity and sought to join a mission led by Byakuren to gather intelligence. 49 50

Appearance

His early optimism also came with naivety. Having lived a sheltered life before transmigrating, he initially believed difficulties would resolve themselves; Wuming's near-death forced him to confront his helplessness and seek strength seriously. 19 30

He is determined to improve but recognizes that raw ocular power is insufficient without knowledge and experience. Ayako's training plan reflects his acceptance that he must master fundamentals rather than depend entirely on the Sharingan. 37 44
