Background

Fugaku is the recognized leader of the Uchiha Clan, responsible for maintaining unity among a large clan whose members range from ordinary civilians to a small minority capable of awakening the Sharingan. Though rarely expressive, he makes efforts to remain approachable to his clansmen, such as personally congratulating new parents within the clan. 5

As clan head, Fugaku regards the Sharingan’s defects—particularly the Mangekyō Sharingan’s eventual blindness—as a survival issue for the entire clan. Fugaku is stern, duty-driven, and intensely focused on the Uchiha Clan’s long-term survival. He seeks the Hokage position with the backing of the Uchiha Clan, believing the clan’s collective vote and his wartime achievements make him a viable candidate. Konoha’s leadership refuses to nominate him, however, citing a lack of village recognition. Relocation Dispute

After the Nine-Tails incident, Konoha orders the Uchiha to relocate to the village outskirts amid suspicion of the clan’s Sharingan.
