Background / History

Gu Yue originally comes to Eastsea Academy to investigate Tang Wulin and the Golden Dragon King bloodline within him. Her priorities change immediately when she senses Chen Ye: his presence frightens even her God King-level divine consciousness, and she judges him a greater threat than Tang Wulin. She abandons Class Five, personally requests a transfer to Class One, and claims Chen Ye is her childhood sweetheart to sit beside him. 21 22

Her exceptional elemental talent leads Leng Yaozhu to accept her as a disciple, making her Chen Ye's junior sister. Their first exchanges are combative and teasing, with Gu Yue calling him “cheap senior brother” and Chen Ye answering with “vicious junior sister.” 6 22

Gu Yue is later revealed to be the Silver Dragon King and a soul beast. She initially fears that Chen Ye will despise her origin, but he assures her that he will not. After Chen Ye exposes both her identity and Tang Wulin's circumstances, they agree to cooperate; he promises to help her and the soul beasts while asking her not to investigate his secrets prematurely. 80 81

Her original plan is to strip Tang Wulin of the Golden Dragon King bloodline with Di Tian and the Four Great Fierce Beasts. The attempt destabilizes when Tang San's preparations within Tang Wulin resist them.
