Background

Chen Ye begins as an orphan and transmigrator in Shrek City. During Martial Soul Awakening Day, he awakens the Dragon of Imagination and innate full soul power, resolving to use the opportunity to change his circumstances 1.

Leng Yaozhu mistakes his martial soul for a Dark Phoenix—the same type as her younger sister's—and accepts him as her disciple. She brings him to East Sea City, provides an Evil Phoenix spirit soul, and arranges his education at East Sea Elementary Academy and East Sea Academy 3 5.

Rather than simply fuse the supplied spirit soul, Chen Ye uses the Dragon of Imagination's authority to create Alersuhode, the Dragon of Nightmare. He spends the following three years studying, cultivating, and receiving specialized combat training while waiting to encounter the era's central figures 4 5.
