Background / History

Arrival Ten Thousand Years in the Future

Bo Saixi originates from Sea God Island, where she serves as the high priestess of the first-generation Sea God. During a battle with Qian Daoliu and Tang Chen, the collision of their strongest techniques transports all three to the Douluo Continent ten thousand years later. Qian Daoliu catches her as she falls, then helps stabilize her with soul power 1 8 84.

The revelation that Tang San has replaced Poseidon as Sea God shocks her. Although still weakened, she joins Qian Daoliu against the powerful soul masters gathered in the tournament arena, taking responsibility for Du Busi and Xuan Zi. Later, she and Qian Daoliu search the Sun Moon Empire’s historical records but find no trace of either Spirit Hall or Sea God Island 2 4 9.

Rebuilding Spirit Hall

Bo Saixi confesses her love for Qian Daoliu and supports his decision to rebuild Spirit Hall. When he struggles with its destruction and the Angel clan’s persecution, she urges him to focus on their present lives while helping him oppose the Holy Spirit Cult 7 13.

She also begins teaching the younger generation. Guang Yao becomes her first disciple, and Bo Saixi cushions the girl’s forehead with soul power during her formal kowtows. Silver Moon is subsequently identified as another of her students 18 72.

The Valley Crisis and Divine Selection

Vengeful Spirits invade Bo Saixi’s spiritual sea, consuming her vitality, soul power, and spiritual essence. Qian Daoliu gives up his godhood embryo to save her. After awakening unharmed, she notices his reduced cultivation and presses him until he reveals what he sacrificed 20 21 22.

Their newly acquired scepters introduce another danger: Qian Daoliu’s destructive will repeatedly overwhelms him. Bo Saixi refuses to abandon him, restraining him with Sea God Imprisonment and stabilizing him with life energy. When he attempts to kill himself to protect her, she shields him with her own body; the Life Scepter blocks the sword’s power and immediately heals her wound 22 24 25.

The God of Destruction and Goddess of Life select the couple as their divine trialists, citing their strength, upright character, and mutual love. Their physical and spiritual union eventually produces the balance needed for Qian Daoliu to control destruction, allowing them to complete their first trials 23 26.

Pregnancy and the Continental Conflicts

Bo Saixi reveals her pregnancy after she and Qian Daoliu restore Xu Tianran’s health. Despite Qian Daoliu’s attempts to keep her safe, she insists on accompanying him against the Holy Spirit Cult. She argues that possession of the super-divine Life Scepter makes her difficult even for a god to kill 30 31 32.

Her role combines battlefield control, healing, and lethal combat. She kills Du Busi by stripping away the life force he is burning for power, heals an injured silver-clad girl after recognizing Sea God Island’s aura, and protects advancing legions from Death God Rays 38 41 58.

Against Ye Xishui’s Blood River God-Slaying Array, Bo Saixi and Qian Daoliu become trapped without a means of replenishing soul power. Their Flower of Creation briefly purifies the blood sea and restores their reserves. When Qian Daoliu gains god-level power through the planar will, Bo Saixi leads the soul engineers into his Destruction Space for safety 61 62.

Sea-Beast Diplomacy and Godhood

In the Ice Sea, Bo Saixi’s Sea God martial soul causes the hostile Sea Princess and surrounding soul beasts to bow before her. She clarifies that she is the original Sea God’s high priestess, helps distinguish their Spirit Pagoda from the organization responsible for experiments on merfolk, and swears that Spirit Hall’s Spirit Pagoda will not harm sea soul beasts 83 84.

Bo Saixi empathizes with the Sea Princess’s grief as an expectant mother. She and Qian Daoliu agree to protect the clan, perform Eve’s spirit transfer, and witness Li Jing’s succession as Sea Princess 84 85.

After completing the Seven Sins and fifth divine trials, Bo Saixi receives the sixth-trial task of assisting Qian Daoliu in unifying the continent within three years. She later attains level 130 while protecting Ming Capital from Dai Mubai and joins the campaigns through the ocean and other soul-beast territories 92 98 101.

Three years after becoming pregnant, her advanced pregnancy prevents her from joining the assault on the God Realm. Her warning nevertheless helps convince Qian Daoliu that further delay would endanger their family and allies. She ultimately inherits the Goddess of Life’s position 104 106.

Appearance

  • Hair: Dark, falling softly around her face when she rests against Qian Daoliu 9.
  • Face: Jade-like cheeks, translucent and radiant skin, and long, thick eyelashes 9.
  • Divine mark: An emerald Life Scepter pattern appears between her brows when the divine trials begin; it initially flashes before fading 23.
  • Martial-soul manifestations: Azure Sea God light contrasts with the warm emerald glow of her Life Scepter 4 22.

Personality

Bo Saixi’s initial indifference toward Qian Daoliu changes into admiration and dependence after their arrival in the future. Her affection does not make her passive: she recognizes when he conceals his sacrifice, demands an explanation, and repeatedly challenges his attempts to exclude her from danger 1 21 22 31.

She is protective toward her students and the younger generation. She treats Guang Yao gently, restores Ye Guyi’s lost lifespan, and defends Ye Guyi when Qian Daoliu scolds her. Her pregnancy also deepens her sympathy for the Sea Princess’s distress over her daughter 18 71 84.

Her loyalty coexists with tactical patience and ruthlessness. She persuades Qian Daoliu to observe Tang Chen’s group before intervening, but later supports seizing the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well’s resources. She absorbs Ah Yin’s ring and bone without regard for Ah Yin’s will and proposes eliminating Tang Chen and Di Tian while they are suppressed 46 47 65 74.

Abilities & Skills

Sea God Martial Soul

Flower of Creation

A fusion technique combining Bo Saixi’s life power with Qian Daoliu’s destruction power. It is demonstrated as both a martial-soul fusion skill and a divine soul fusion skill 62 98.

  • Purifies the blood sea’s deathly energy into usable soul power, temporarily restoring the couple’s reserves 62.
  • Suppresses Tang Chen and Di Tian together 74.
  • Counters Dai Mubai and Zhu Zhuqing’s Ultimate Nether White Tiger; the divine backlash injures Qian Daoliu 98.

Spiritual Power and Planar Connection

Bo Saixi’s spiritual strength supports advanced spirit transmission and the absorption of exceptionally old soul bones 80 86.

  • The planar will abandons Ah Yin and chooses Bo Saixi as its more suitable host because of the Life Scepter 65.
  • Communicates with the planar will and learns of Tang Hao’s attempt to seize its body 78.
  • Absorbs Eve’s 600,000-year skull bone without suffering its spiritual backlash 86.
  • Helps construct the formation used for Eve’s spirit transfer 85.
  • Limit: Ye Xishui’s blood sea suppresses her spiritual power, seals space, restricts her life force, and prevents ordinary soul-power recovery 61.

Soul Spirit

  • Qian Jin — Golden Ancient Tree: A 100,000-year soul beast transmitted to Bo Saixi’s second martial soul, granting three golden rings. It takes the form of a small treant that sits on her shoulder and affectionately interacts with Guang Yao 80 81.
