History

Treatment of Mutated Disciples

Ronan was given the Yu surname and the name Yu Nan while in the sect. At his spirit awakening ceremony, he manifested Luo Sanpao rather than the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon. The malformed, externally manifested martial soul was mocked for its pig-like appearance and fart-based attacks. 2

The sect’s culture marginalized disciples with mutated martial souls. Yu Xiaolie used his status as the sect master’s eldest son to bully members of branch families and mutation bearers, while Ronan was expelled at eight years old. 3 23 Yu Xiaogang was likewise expelled after being unable to resolve Luo Sanpao’s defects. 21

Ronan’s later evolution of Luo Sanpao into the Golden Sacred Dragon caused a major uproar, particularly within the sect. Yu Xiaogang became obsessed with learning the method behind that evolution and bore lasting resentment after Ronan rejected him. 22

Conflict with Ronan

Yu Xiaogang attempted to invoke the sect’s name while confronting Ronan at Moonlight Pavilion, relying on its reputation as an Upper Three Sect to intimidate the pavilion’s guards. 21

Yu Xiaolie subsequently challenged Ronan in Heaven Dou City over Yu Xiaogang’s injury. Despite being a level 83 Soul Douluo and wielding the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon, Yu Xiaolie’s Thunderbolt attack was torn apart and he was subdued, beaten, and publicly humiliated. 23 24

Yu Yuanzhen personally pursued Ronan to avenge his sons and seize the secrets and Spirit Bone he believed Ronan possessed. Ronan used Gravity Domain and Dragon Earth-Shaking Claw to overwhelm Yu Yuanzhen’s True Dragon Thunder Blast, then killed the level 95 sect master and took three Spirit Bones from his body. 28 29

Yu Yuanzhen’s death stripped the sect of its only Titled Douluo and greatly accelerated its decline. 123

Upper Three Sects Conspiracy

Ning Fengzhi approached Yu Xiaotian and proposed an alliance of the Upper Three Sects to eliminate Ronan. Yu Xiaotian accepted in principle, motivated by the sect’s humiliation and the promised rewards of hundred-thousand-year Spirit Bones and Crystal Blood Dragon Ginseng, but refused to act first unless the Clear Sky Sect also joined. 124 125

The Clear Sky Sect later agreed to cooperate on the condition that Tang Hao be found and brought back, making the Blue Lightning Tyrant Sect part of the planned anti-@@REF_ENTITY_12691784@@ coalition. 127 128

Fallen Soul Valley Disaster

While cooperating with Ning Fengzhi, Yu Xiaotian led sect forces in harassing Moonlight Pavilion’s caravans. Seeking resources and a victory to restore the sect’s prestige, he personally organized an ambush on a convoy allegedly carrying rare treasures and Spirit Bones. 130

The convoy was a trap. Once Yu Xiaotian revealed himself with two Soul Douluo elders and other elites, the caravan’s guards abandoned the cargo, allowing Dugu Bo to emerge from the carriage. 131

Dugu Bo’s Green Phosphorus Snake Emperor Poison massacred the accompanying sect members, while Yu Xiaotian was captured alive after his futile counterattack. 132 Ronan then used Yu Xiaotian as leverage against the entire sect. 133

Cession and Reparations

Yu Tianci came to Moonlight Pavilion with rare herbs, ores, and Gold Soul Coins, attempting to apologize and distinguish Yu Xiaotian’s robbery from the sect as a whole. Ronan rejected the explanation and demanded tangible concessions: territory and reparations. 136 137

Yu Luomian concluded that retaining wealth was meaningless if Ronan and Dugu Bo retaliated against the sect’s mountain headquarters. He ordered the complete surrender of the sect’s Heaven Dou City and surrounding regional businesses rather than risk annihilation. 139 140

Ronan then demanded the True Dragon Nine Crowns in addition to the property transfer. Yu Luomian complied, and Yu Xiaotian was returned to the sect’s outpost after the settlement. 141 142
