• They could draw upon the lingering soul power of ancestral generations to temporarily amplify a user’s combat strength. 141

History

Treatment of Mutated Disciples

Luo Nan was given the Yu surname and the name Yu Nan while in the sect. At his spirit awakening ceremony, he manifested Luo Sanpao rather than the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon. The malformed, externally manifested martial soul was mocked for its pig-like appearance and fart-based attacks. 2

The sect’s culture marginalized disciples with mutated martial souls. Yu Xiaolie used his status as the sect master’s eldest son to bully members of branch families and mutation bearers, while Luo Nan was expelled at eight years old. 3 23 Yu Xiaogang was likewise expelled after being unable to resolve Luo Sanpao’s defects. 21

Luo Nan’s later evolution of Luo Sanpao into the Golden Sacred Dragon caused a major uproar, particularly within the sect. Yu Xiaogang became obsessed with learning the method behind that evolution and bore lasting resentment after Luo Nan rejected him. 22

Conflict with Luo Nan

Yu Xiaogang attempted to invoke the sect’s name while confronting Luo Nan at Moonlight Pavilion, relying on its reputation as an Upper Three Sect to intimidate the pavilion’s guards. 21

Yu Xiaolie subsequently challenged Luo Nan in Heaven Dou City over Yu Xiaogang’s injury. Despite being a level 83 Soul Douluo and wielding the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon, Yu Xiaolie’s Thunderbolt attack was torn apart and he was subdued, beaten, and publicly humiliated. 23 24

Yu Yuanzhen personally pursued Luo Nan to avenge his sons and seize the secrets and Spirit Bone he believed Luo Nan possessed. Luo Nan used Gravity Domain and Dragon Earth-Shaking Claw to overwhelm Yu Yuanzhen’s True Dragon Thunder Blast, then killed the level 95 sect master and took three Spirit Bones from his body. 28 29

Yu Yuanzhen’s death stripped the sect of its only Titled Douluo and greatly accelerated its decline. 123

Upper Three Sects Conspiracy

Ning Fengzhi approached Yu Xiaotian and proposed an alliance of the Upper Three Sects to eliminate Luo Nan. Yu Xiaotian accepted in principle, motivated by the sect’s humiliation and the promised rewards of hundred-thousand-year Spirit Bones and Crystal Blood Dragon Ginseng, but refused to act first unless the Clear Sky Sect also joined. 124 125

The Clear Sky Sect later agreed to cooperate on the condition that Tang Hao be found and brought back, making the Blue Lightning Tyrant Sect part of the planned anti-Luo Nan coalition. 127 128

Fallen Soul Valley Disaster

While cooperating with Ning Fengzhi, Yu Xiaotian led sect forces in harassing Moonlight Pavilion’s caravans. Seeking resources and a victory to restore the sect’s prestige, he personally organized an ambush on a convoy allegedly carrying rare treasures and Spirit Bones. 130

The convoy was a trap. Once Yu Xiaotian revealed himself with two Soul Douluo elders and other elites, the caravan’s guards abandoned the cargo, allowing Dugu Bo to emerge from the carriage. 131

Dugu Bo’s Green Phosphorus Snake Emperor Poison massacred the accompanying sect members, while Yu Xiaotian was captured alive after his futile counterattack. 132 Luo Nan then used Yu Xiaotian as leverage against the entire sect. 133

Cession and Reparations

Yu Tianci came to Moonlight Pavilion with rare herbs, ores, and Gold Soul Coins, attempting to apologize and distinguish Yu Xiaotian’s robbery from the sect as a whole. Luo Nan rejected the explanation and demanded tangible concessions: territory and reparations. 136 137

Yu Luomian concluded that retaining wealth was meaningless if Luo Nan and Dugu Bo retaliated against the sect’s mountain headquarters. He ordered the complete surrender of the sect’s Heaven Dou City and surrounding regional businesses rather than risk annihilation. 139 140

Luo Nan then demanded the True Dragon Nine Crowns in addition to the property transfer. Yu Luomian complied, and Yu Xiaotian was returned to the sect’s outpost after the settlement. 141 142

Exploitation of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect

After Dugu Bo's poisoning attack crippled the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect, Yu Luomian mobilized the Blue Lightning Tyrant Sect's hidden forces throughout the Heaven Dou Empire. They seized mines, shops, auction houses, and affiliated personnel while the rival sect was unable to respond. 145

Within days, the offensive had severed nearly half of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect's economic lifeline. The haul was several times greater than the compensation that the Blue Lightning Tyrant Sect had previously paid to Luo Nan, greatly raising Yu Luomian's prestige. 145

Yu Luomian nevertheless argued that the seized wealth had only been possible because of Luo Nan's intervention. To preserve Luo Nan's protection and prevent renewed hostility, he transferred seized core properties to Luo Nan, who accepted them and agreed not to provoke the sect. 146 147

Alignment with Moonlight Pavilion and Heaven Dou

When Emperor Xue Ye proposed a three-way alliance to establish a Soul Master army, Yu Luomian represented the sect in discussions with Luo Nan and Moonlight Pavilion. He explicitly treated Luo Nan as the deciding voice rather than acting independently. 184 185

Luo Nan permitted the sect to pursue the opportunity, while Yu Luomian declared that the sect's Heaven Dou forces would follow Luo Nan's lead. 185

The sect later committed its training system to the proposed Soul Master Revival Foundation, which would conduct nationwide martial soul awakenings, recruit talented commoner children, and cultivate them for the Empire. Yu Luomian also proposed adapting Yu Xiaogang's theoretical works for beginner instruction. 190

Renewed Pressure on the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect

When the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect secretly cultivated a new rank-91 Titled Douluo and resumed expanding its influence, Yu Luomian feared retaliation. The Blue Lightning Tyrant Sect still lacked a Titled Douluo and was vulnerable to both Sword Douluo Chen Xin and the newly promoted Titled Douluo. 187 188

Luo Nan used this fear to bind the sect more firmly to Moonlight Pavilion. He promised to kill any Titled Douluos backing the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect and instructed Yu Luomian to attack immediately if the rival sect attempted to expand again. 188

Encouraged by this protection, Yu Luomian pledged that the Blue Lightning Tyrant Sect would prevent the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect from rising again, regardless of the cost. 188

Relationships

• Luo Nan — Former expelled disciple and the sect’s former irreconcilable enemy. He defeated Yu Xiaolie, killed Yu Yuanzhen, captured Yu Xiaotian, and forced the sect to surrender assets and the True Dragon Nine Crowns. Following Yu Luomian's submission and tribute, the sect came to rely on Luo Nan's protection and political direction. 23 29 132 141 146 185 188
• Moonlight Pavilion — Former target of the sect’s harassment and caravan robbery campaign under Yu Xiaotian. It later became the power through which Luo Nan exerts influence over the sect and the proposed partner in the Heaven Dou Soul Master army. 129 130 184 190

• Luo Nan initially intended to exploit the sect’s desperation by using it as a pawn against the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect. Yu Luomian’s later offensive against that sect and his commitment to obstruct its recovery effectively realized this role. 143 145 188
