Background / History

Zixia sensed Goten's otherworldly aura from thousands of miles away. Her Violet-Azure Treasure Sword reacted to the power, prompting her to fly west to investigate. After witnessing Goten send the Bull Demon King flying with one punch, she decided to meet him. 1 2 3

When she encountered Goten, the Violet-Azure Treasure Sword flew toward him of its own accord. Since the sword had never reacted to any of the countless people she had tested, Zixia believed its response might identify Goten as her destined person. 4

Zixia possessed the Moonlight Box and recognized that Goten's Saiyan power could activate it. She explained that the artifact could traverse time and space, potentially allowing him to meet the Sun Wukong of five hundred years earlier. Her decision to help him was tied to her feelings for that Sun Wukong, whom she calls the one her heart desires. 5 6

She openly defied the Heavenly Court to protect Goten. During the confrontation with the heavenly soldiers, Zixia declared that she had failed to protect Sun Wukong five hundred years ago and would not repeat that failure. 8

The Great Peng Spirit critically wounded Zixia while she pushed Goten out of the attack's path.
