Peace did not last long. An uninvited guest arrived at the base: Babidi. After his ship was destroyed, he had fled into the deep mountains, watching Buu from the shadows. He felt rage and jealousy seeing Buu become friends with the Earthlings. Buu was his creation, the ultimate weapon his father Bibidi had spent centuries forging. Buu was meant to obey his commands and destroy everything, not befriend a bunch of insects. In the mountains, Babidi found an ancient relic—the Separator. This artifact could split an individual into two parts: positive and negative, good and evil. He decided to use the Separator to divide Buu's goodness from his evil. The evil half would obey him, while the good half would be left weakened. Babidi snuck into the base and found Buu playing games with Satan. When Buu saw Babidi, his smile vanished. "Babidi," Buu said, "what are you doing here?" "Buu, my child," Babidi feigned affection, "I have come to take you home." "Buu doesn't want to go home," Buu said, "Buu is happy here." Babidi's expression darkened. "Are you disobeying me?"

"Buu is not your slave anymore," Buu said, "Buu has his own choices." Babidi sneered and pulled the Separator from beneath his cloak. It was a palm-sized device covered in complex runes, emitting a dark red glow. "Since you won't obey, I will make you obey." He pressed the switch on the Separator.

A beam of dark red light shot toward Buu. Buu instinctively tried to dodge, but the beam was too fast, striking him directly in the chest. Buu's body began to split.

Cracks appeared on his pink skin, with black light leaking from within. Buu groaned in agony, his body torn between good and evil. "Buu!" Satan rushed forward to help, but was repelled by an energy barrier. Kashu and Android 18 rushed from the depths of the base, but it was too late. Buu's body had completely divided.

A chubby, pink Buu collapsed to the ground, his size diminished, the smile on his face replaced by a look of confusion and exhaustion. Another Buu stood before him. This Buu was thin and tall, his skin a deep gray, his eyes flashing with bloodthirsty red light. There was no smile on his face, only cruelty.

"Evil Buu. I am finally free," Evil Buu spoke, his voice as rough as sandpaper, "That foolish good side was always suppressing me, preventing me from doing as I pleased. Now, I can finally..." He turned his head to look at the fat Buu on the ground, "...eat him." Evil Buu opened his wide mouth and swallowed the fat Buu in one gulp. The fat Buu struggled inside him, but Evil Buu's body began to change, absorbing the fat Buu's energy and form. His body expanded, transforming into a tall, strong, and muscular physique. His skin turned a mix of deep gray and pink, and horns sprouted from his head.

This was Evil Buu's true form. His ki surged to a terrifying level—several times stronger than the fat Buu, and even more powerful than a Super Saiyan 3. East Supreme Kai sensed Buu's energy and turned pale. "It's over... everything is over... Evil Buu has awakened..." Evil Buu looked at Kashu and Android 18, a cruel smile curling his lips. "You are the Earth Guardians? The ones who tried to tame me?" Kashu stepped forward, shielding Android 18. "Buu," Kashu said, "you still have a choice. Abandon your evil and return to your good side." "Choice?" Evil Buu laughed, "I have no choice! I am evil itself! I was born to destroy!" He raised his hand, and a massive energy wave shot from his palm, blasting toward the base. Kashu used Instant Transmission to appear in front of the wave, bracing it with both hands. The force of the blast was immense; Kashu was pushed back, the ground beneath his feet shattering into a spiderweb pattern. "Interesting," Evil Buu said, "how much of my power can you block?" He increased his energy output. Kashu's arms began to tremble, and veins bulged on his forehead. Android 18 attacked from the side, throwing a punch at Evil Buu's head. Without looking, Evil Buu lashed out with his tail, wrapping it around her wrist. With a casual flick, he threw her toward a distant mountain. Android 18 crashed into the slope, causing it to collapse and bury her under the rubble. "18!" Kashu shouted.

In that moment of distraction, Evil Buu's energy wave broke through Kashu's defense, hitting him head-on. Kashu was blasted away, crashing through several walls of the base before becoming embedded in the deep underground energy chamber. Evil Buu looked at the collapsed base and nodded with satisfaction. "Earth Guardians? Nothing more than this." He turned and left, leaving only ruins behind. Kashu climbed out of the wreckage. His clothes were tattered and his body bore several wounds, but they were not fatal. Evil Buu's attack was powerful, but not enough to kill him. Android 18 also broke free from the debris and flew to Kashu's side. She had sustained minor injuries, but her Super Android regenerative abilities had already begun to heal her. "Buu... is too strong," Android 18 said. Kashu nodded. "Stronger than I imagined. His power is already approaching the level of my full strength."

"Can you defeat him?" Kashu was silent for a moment. "Yes. But it will come at a price." "What price?" Kashu did not answer. He walked deep into the base to Buu's room. The room was in shambles, with Satan lying on the floor, unconscious. Traces of the fat Buu's separation were everywhere. Kashu picked up a fragment from the floor—a piece of the fat Buu's body that had fallen off during the separation. The fragment still held a faint glow, flickering with the fat Buu's good energy.

Kashu looked at the fragment in his hand, a plan forming in his mind. He walked out of the room and into the central hall. Everyone had gathered there—Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Cell, Krillin, Yamcha, Tien Shinhan, Chiaotzu, Android 16, and East Supreme Kai.

"You have all seen Buu's strength," Kashu said, "he is stronger than all of us combined. But if we attack together, we have a seventy percent chance of winning." "Seventy percent?" Vegeta frowned, "Are you saying we might lose?" "Thirty percent chance of losing," Kashu said, "but if we lose, Earth will be destroyed. A thirty percent chance of destruction is too high."

"I need a safer plan." He held up the fragment. "This is a piece of the fat Buu's good energy. If I can find a way to re-inject this good energy into Evil Buu, he might turn back into the fat Buu." "Is that feasible?" Gohan asked. "Theoretically, yes," Kashu said, "but I need to enter the depths of Evil Buu's consciousness and find where the fat Buu is trapped. Evil Buu absorbed him, but he hasn't fully digested him. The fat Buu is still alive somewhere inside him."

"You're going alone?" Goku asked. "I can't go alone," Kashu said, "I need backup. If I fail, someone needs to take over the fight."

He looked at Goku. "Goku, you come with me." Goku nodded. "Alright." Vegeta snorted. "Why him and not me?" "Because Goku is better at cooperation than you," Kashu said bluntly, "Vegeta, your solo combat ability is strong, but this time we need team coordination." Vegeta wanted to say more, but Bulma tugged on his sleeve. He fell silent. Kashu turned to Android 18. "Lazuli, while I'm gone, you are in charge of the team." Android 18 walked up to Kashu and took his hand. "Be careful." "I will," Kashu smiled, "I promised you I wouldn't leave you alone again." The two embraced, then parted. Kashu and Goku flew toward Evil Buu's location. Evil Buu had stopped on the outskirts of West City and began his destruction. He had no specific target, just destroying wherever he went. The city turned to ruins in his hands, people fleeing in all directions, screams echoing one after another. Kashu and Goku landed in front of Buu. "You again?" Evil Buu looked at them, "You still won't give up?" "Buu," Kashu said, "we've come to make a deal with you." "A deal?" Evil Buu looked at him with interest, "Let's hear it." "If you lose, you release the fat Buu from inside you." "And if you lose?" "We let you absorb us," Kashu said, "and gain our energy."

Evil Buu's eyes lit up. "Absorb you? Both of you are very strong; if I absorb you, I will become even stronger!" "Deal," Evil Buu said, "come on!" He rushed toward Kashu, fast as lightning. Kashu dodged to the side and struck Buu's back with a counter-punch. A large hole appeared in Buu's body, but it healed instantly, as if nothing had happened.

"Useless," Buu said, "my regenerative ability is a hundred times stronger than Cell's. As long as every one of my cells remains, I will not die." Kashu didn't speak, throwing a flurry of punches, each one punching a hole through Buu. But Buu's healing speed was faster than Kashu's attacks; the wounds closed the moment his fists pulled away. Goku attacked from the other side, hitting Buu head-on with a Kamehameha. Buu's body was blown to pieces, but the fragments danced in the air, reforming into a complete Buu. "I said, it's useless," Buu shook his head, "can you not understand?" Kashu stopped his attack and looked at Buu. "Then let's try a different way."

He began to compress his ki. Not reducing it, but compressing it. He condensed the energy within him to the extreme, reaching such high density that even light began to warp. His body began to glow, not with golden light, but with a white light, pure and blinding. "This is..." Goku's eyes widened, "what kind of power is this?" "It's not power," Kashu said, "it's will." He rushed at Buu, punching him in the chest. This punch didn't pierce Buu's body; instead, it injected the compressed energy into him. Buu's body began to swell like an inflated balloon. He groaned in agony, trying to expel the energy, but Kashu's energy clung to his cells like glue, impossible to shake off.

"You... what are you doing?" Buu asked in terror. "I'm making you stronger," Kashu said, "but beyond your limit." Buu's body swelled to twice, three times, five times its original size. Cracks appeared on his skin, and pink light leaked from the fissures. "No... don't..." Buu screamed, "I'm going to explode!" "Then spit out your good side," Kashu said, "or you will die." Buu hesitated for a second. Then he opened his wide mouth and spat out the fat Buu. The fat Buu landed on the ground, soaking wet and as weak as a drowned rat. His ki was only ten percent of what it had been, and he could barely stand. Evil Buu's body returned to normal, but he was significantly weakened. Kashu's energy had drained much of his stamina; he was now at only half his peak strength. "You... you tricked me," Evil Buu said angrily, "you said you would let me absorb you!" "I did say that," Kashu said, "but only if you won. Did you win?"

Evil Buu froze, then realized—he had indeed lost. Not because he was beaten in combat, but because he was forced to release the fat Buu to save his own life.

"So, according to the agreement," Kashu said, "you were to let us release the fat Buu. You have already done so."

Evil Buu's face turned the color of liver. He wanted to renege, but Kashu's gaze told him—the consequences of going back on his word would be severe. "Hmph," Evil Buu snorted, "you win this time. But next time..." He turned and left, vanishing into the sky. Goku watched his retreating figure, worried. "Won't he come back?"

"He will," Kashu said, "but not now. He is very weak and needs time to recover. We have time to prepare as well." He walked over and helped the fat Buu up.

The fat Buu opened his eyes, saw Kashu, and smiled weakly. "Buu... did something wrong?" "No," Kashu said, "you did well. You kept resisting Evil Buu's control, which gave him the chance to release you." The fat Buu's tears flowed. "Buu doesn't want to hurt anyone. Buu just wants to be with friends." "You can be," Kashu said, "we will help you." The fat Buu nodded, closed his eyes, and fell into a deep sleep. Kashu picked him up and flew back to the base. The battle was temporarily over.

But the real fight had not yet begun.
