"Captain Rocks? What does he want with me?"

Though he felt quite puzzled, he still made his way toward the council hall.

As Carl stepped into the hall, she saw that all the division commanders had already arrived.

Golden Lion, Newgate, Charlotte Linlin, John, and Wang Zhi were seated on either side, while Kaido stood at the far end. Although Kaido was still an apprentice, his strength was not far off from that of a commander, which granted him the right to enter the pirate council hall.

At this point in time, Kaido was not far from becoming a commander himself, but unfortunately, he had yet to be appointed one. He was currently considered part of Charlotte Linlin's crew, so he stood by her side.

"Hahahahahaha!"

Rocks's expression was grim, but he suddenly burst into loud laughter.

Rocks offered a mysterious smile and said to Carl, "Carl, we have already gained a certain understanding of your strength, but we still need to further confirm your loyalty. Now, I have a mission for you."

Carl immediately wore a look of confusion and asked, "What mission?"

Rocks waved his hand and said, "This mission is to attack a member state of the World Government. The strength of this kingdom is not high, so don't worry, there won't be any great danger."

Rocks was merely testing Carl; after all, if Carl wasn't a mole, sending her to attack a powerful nation would be a waste of a talented fighter.

No sooner had Rocks finished speaking than Carl noticed Kaido glaring at her with rage.

She knew this must be Kaido venting his dissatisfaction.

After all, Kaido had been in the Rocks Pirates for so long without becoming a commander, yet a newcomer had been granted the position immediately. He was deeply unconvinced and believed that Carl's strength wasn't actually that impressive.

Because among all the commanders, John was the weakest, and both John and Wang Zhi were only commanders because they were among the first to join the Rocks Pirates. Therefore, defeating them didn't necessarily prove that Carl possessed the true caliber of a commander.

"As for your mission, you are to go to the Phil Kingdom and cause a scene."

She didn't know if this mission was dangerous or not. She couldn't take Rocks's words at face value, but she understood that she had no choice but to go, as it was a direct order from Rocks himself. Furthermore, she could sense an astonishing killing intent radiating from him; she suspected that if she refused, she might die right there on the spot.

"Are there any specific requirements?" Carl asked. She wanted to know what Rocks's purpose was in sending her to this kingdom. Was it just simple looting, or was there another motive?

She had already guessed that sending her to attack a member state right after joining was likely a test of her loyalty. However, she didn't care about that, as she had no intention of staying in the Rocks Pirates for long, and the crew itself wouldn't last much longer anyway.

"Just go and cause as much chaos as you like."

Upon hearing her response, Rocks's expression softened slightly.

Rocks didn't assign her any further tasks; he only required her to go to the Phil Kingdom and stir up trouble.

"No problem, leave it to me."

Thus, she accepted the mission without hesitation. In her view, this level of danger was actually on the lower side.

Seeing Carl accept the mission without hesitation, the doubts in Rocks's heart began to ease.

He walked over to Carl and patted her on the shoulder, laughing, "Ha, very good, Carl. I hope you complete the mission successfully. All the loot seized during this operation will belong to you alone."

"Hahahahaha!"

After saying this, Rocks laughed heartily and strode out of the council hall.

"Jiehahahaha! Kid Carl, how about joining my crew?"

Golden Lion sat to the side, laughing. He had only returned to the island last night and was regretting why he had set sail, which caused him to miss the chance to recruit Carl first.

So, upon their first meeting today, he extended an olive branch.

After all, he had long wanted to defect from the Rocks Pirates but had been waiting for an opportunity. If Carl could join him, she would be a powerful asset.

"Sorry, Commander Golden Lion, I am not considering joining anyone else's crew for the time being."

Golden Lion didn't press the issue upon hearing this, as Carl had already made it clear that she wanted to be a commander, and her strength was not to be underestimated.

He understood her meaning, so he had only been testing the waters. He just felt a bit of regret that he hadn't discovered such a powerful assistant while he was out.

Shortly after, Golden Lion walked out as well.

"Carl, bear my child."

Charlotte Linlin wore a smile as she rushed right up to her.

"Uh, no thanks."

Carl hurriedly declined. She didn't want to get involved with Charlotte Linlin; after all, Charlotte Linlin would eventually marry over 50 husbands, and later on, she would stop caring about her figure and become incredibly fat. Just thinking about it made her feel...

Wang Zhi mocked from the side. Because Charlotte Linlin had approached Golden Lion and Newgate, but had never approached the others, he felt a bit jealous; he felt that Charlotte Linlin looked down on his strength.

"Kaido, let's go."

Newgate laughed heartily; after all, the navy rarely came to the second half of the New World to surround and capture them.

"Clay!"

As soon as Carl returned to their base, she immediately summoned Clay, who was currently the second strongest member of her crew.

"Was there any particular reason Captain Rocks called for you just now?"

After receiving the definitive answer, Clay spoke with a serious expression, then immediately turned and left to gather the pirate crew.

A few hours later, Carl led her subordinates and set off toward their target, the Phil Kingdom.

"Listen up, boys! Our target is the Phil Kingdom."

"I will distribute fifty percent of the loot from this raid among you."

The decision Carl announced caused the pirates present to cheer loudly.
