Background / History

Tang Ya encounters Zhuang Minghui, Beibei, and Huo Yuhao in the outer region of the Star Dou Great Forest while pursuing a Datura Snake suitable as her third soul ring. She introduces herself as the Tang Sect's sect master and identifies Huo Yuhao as the sect's newest member 3 4.

When Beibei is overwhelmed by the mutated thousand-year Datura Snake, Zhuang Minghui intervenes. He later empowers Tang Ya with Elemental Sublimation, allowing her Blue Silver Grass to become suffused with life energy and drain the snake's soul power through Blue Silver Entanglement. Tang Ya then absorbs the soul ring and advances to the three-ring Soul Elder stage 4 5.

Afterward, she grows increasingly attached to Zhuang Minghui, while Beibei becomes jealous of their closeness. Tang Ya defends Zhuang Minghui when Beibei warns her against him, arguing that he risked himself to help her obtain her soul ring 5 6. She also invites Zhuang Minghui to join the Tang Sect, but accepts his refusal after learning that his grandfather does not want him joining a sect before age eighteen 6.

Tang Ya later reunites with Zhuang Minghui at Shrek's Soul Fighting Zone during Beibei's match against Xu Sanshi. She is accompanied by Huo Yuhao and quietly signals him to use Soul Shock to assist Beibei; the attempt ends when Huo Yuhao suffers a mental backlash and collapses 26 27.
