Background

As the Silver Dragon King, Gu Yue inherited the Dragon God’s wisdom and elemental powers. She decided to enter the human world to locate the soul master possessing Spirit Gold and the Life Ancient Tree, while sealing most of her strength to avoid exposing her identity. She retained elemental power and intended to observe human soul tool technology firsthand. Di Tian and Bi Ji arranged her journey. 3

Gu Yue enrolled at Shrek Academy under a concealed identity. Di Tian personally handled the enrollment of an unidentified child, while her status as a soul beast was hidden from the outer courtyard. 7 22

Her assigned roommate was Zhuang Minghui. Their first meeting turned into a short fight after he pulled her into their dormitory; although she attacked with wind and prepared to use fire, his Spirit Devouring Shield absorbed her attack and his counter stopped just before striking her. 12

Despite her initially cold manner, she gradually relaxes around Zhuang Minghui. She enjoys shopping, jewelry, snacks, and city outings with him, though she often answers his teasing with irritation or sarcasm. 14 24 26 Her appetite becomes notably voracious after arriving in Shrek City. 26

She can be ruthless toward those she judges dangerous or cruel. When Zhou Yi endangered students, Gu Yue immediately intended to kill her; after Zhuang Minghui intervened, she accepted a harsher nonlethal punishment instead. 20 21

Arrival at Shrek Academy

Gu Yue arrives as Zhuang Minghui’s unexpected roommate. Their first encounter escalates into a close-range elemental clash, ending when Zhuang Minghui halts his attack just before injuring her. She subsequently introduces herself as a Rank 35 Soul Elder and agrees to accompany him to observe a fight outside the dormitory. 12 13

Freshman Class 9

Gu Yue and Zhuang Minghui enter Freshman Class 9 together and are appointed vice class monitor and class monitor. She remains calm amid the class’s attention and challenges. 15 16

During the class battle, she reveals her three-ring Soul Elder cultivation after Zhuang Minghui defeats Wu Feng, prompting the other students to concede. 18

Conflict with Zhou Yi

Gu Yue sympathizes with Wang Dong’er and Xiao Xiao when Zhou Yi forces them to run while physically unwell. When Zhou Yi’s attack threatens the class, Gu Yue takes responsibility for confronting Zhou Yi while Zhuang Minghui protects the students. 20

Soul Guidance Department and Shrek City

Gu Yue witnesses Zhuang Minghui evolve Spirit Gold into the Life Scepter and gain undead-summoning abilities, leaving her deeply shocked by the disparity between his displayed cultivation and actual capabilities. 24

She later spends time in Shrek City with him, displaying an enthusiastic appetite for street food and a strong interest in trying a buffet. 26

Inner Academy Ambition

After leaving the Soul Fighting Arena, Gu Yue listens as Zhuang Minghui proposes entering the inner academy by reaching Soul Ancestor rank and completing Inspection Corps missions. 27
