Background / History

The Death Realm first manifests when Qian Renheng and Ming Ji invoke it at Douluo Hall to resurrect Qian Wushuang. Its death energy reconstructs the deceased’s body, while a gate deep within the realm returns the soul to the new vessel. Qian Renheng is treated as the absolute ruler while inside it. 2 3

It is later identified as a special world formed from the extreme attributes of darkness, death, and destruction rather than an ordinary soul skill. Qian Daoliu describes it as a summoned world, while Qian Wushuang compares it to the legendary kingdom of the dead. 26

Qian Renheng initially understands the realm only through its Death Apostle Seats. Suspecting it should possess a second core ability equal to the Life Realm’s additional functions, he enters the realm to investigate. There, he discovers soul beasts associated with previously absorbed soul rings living as undead, leading to the revelation of the Undead Calamity. 62 64 65

The realm subsequently develops into an organized undead domain. Qian Renheng creates Seraphia as its King of Undead, later appointing Ice Maiden and Fire Maiden as Undead Archdukes to assist in managing its population. A black obsidian palace is built within the realm for Seraphia and the legion. 67 93 109

Appearance

The Death Realm is an apocalyptic world of scorched black earth, bottomless fissures, magma-filled ravines, erupting black volcanoes, and ash-choked skies. A gigantic scarlet Blood Moon hangs above the landscape. 49 64

Death Apostle Seats

The Death Apostle Seats are the Death Realm’s original core ability, allowing Qian Renheng to revive the dead.

• A new seat can be condensed for every ten levels of Qian Renheng’s soul power. 62
• At level 90, the ninth seat can revive an individual whose peak strength in life was up to level 99 Peerless Douluo. 62
• Revived individuals retain their peak combat strength, subject to the level-99 limit. 62
• The realm places an indelible Death Mark within every revived soul, enforcing absolute loyalty to Qian Renheng. Any intent to harm or betray him triggers the Death Law and erases the offender. 62

Undead Calamity

Undead Calamity is the Death Realm’s second core ability, discovered during Qian Renheng’s exploration of the realm.

• Captured origins absorb death energy, reshape into spiritual bodies, and become absolutely loyal Undead Creatures. 65

Undead Creation and Hierarchy

The realm supports the creation and governance of advanced undead through origin manipulation.
