Background / History

Chun Xing is Qian Renheng's second, Life Angel martial soul. Unlike ordinary martial souls, she possesses a separate humanlike body, independent intelligence, speech, emotions, and the ability to leave her master and act on her own. Qian Renheng only discovers these traits after Chun Xing insists on coming outside, revealing that she had been left alone in the monotonous Life Realm while he routinely summoned Ming Ji instead 35.

After Qian Renheng learns that Chun Xing and Ming Ji can cultivate independently, he has them refine ambient soul power on his behalf. Their cultivation, combined with his own, gives him the equivalent of three simultaneous cultivators; Chun Xing accepts the arrangement innocently, believing she is helping bear her master's burdens 36 37.

Chun Xing later opens the Life Realm, where Qian Renheng, Qian Wushuang, and Yue Guan plant a thousand rare herbs. Her realm's life force and accelerated growth make it central to Qian Renheng's plans for cultivating immortal herbs and plant-type soul beasts 38 39 40.
