Background
Qian Wushuang was a former Pope of Spirit Hall and the father of Qian Daoliu. After his death, he was buried in the Hall of Douluo. Qian Renheng revived him by reconstructing his body within the Death Realm and returning his soul from the world of death. 3
The resurrection leaves an abnormal restriction on his soul: he must obey Qian Renheng, cannot defy his commands, and cannot harm him even in thought. 15 Despite this constraint, Qian Wushuang returns in his prime as a Rank 99 Peerless Douluo. 3 15
After returning to Spirit Hall, he is initially mistaken for an evil spirit impersonating Qian Daoliu's father. Qian Daoliu and six Worships attack him before his identity is established. 6 7 Qian Wushuang later explains that Qian Renheng's Death Angel martial soul revived him. 8
He quickly becomes a central elder of the restored Qian family, helping oversee Qian Renheng and Qian Renxue's cultivation, supporting plans to revive deceased relatives, and discussing Spirit Hall's expansion with Qian Wuji. 11 26 28 46
Appearance
Qian Wushuang possesses the Six-Winged Angel bloodline and manifests six sacred wings in battle. When using his martial soul abilities, he is surrounded by holy radiance and sacred flames. 15
- Six sacred angel wings. 15
- Wields a golden Angel Sword formed from violent sacred flame. 15
- His Spirit Avatar manifests as a six-winged angel with flowing golden hair. 15
- During Angel Descent, he stands within a colossal angelic phantom roughly one thousand meters tall. 15
Personality
Qian Wushuang is fiercely protective of his descendants, especially Qian Renheng and Qian Renxue. He intervenes when Qian Daoliu attempts to punish them and treats their safety and potential as essential to Spirit Hall's future. 9 15
He is authoritative, confident, and readily humiliates Qian Daoliu in front of the Worships when he believes his son has acted improperly. 9 10 His temper can lead him to act before understanding the circumstances, as when he attacks Qian Daoliu over the planned thousand-year first soul rings. After learning about purified Whale Glue, however, he accepts the new knowledge and apologizes for his misunderstanding. 15 17
He is also proud of the younger generation's training. He and Qian Wuji observe Qian Renheng and Qian Renxue practicing fundamental sword forms, intending for them to master those basics before receiving the Qian family's Angel Sword Technique. 47
Abilities & Skills
Six-Winged Angel Martial Soul
Qian Wushuang's martial soul grants him sacred light, flight, exceptional speed, and devastating angelic combat techniques. 11 15
- Uses six wings for aerial movement and high-speed travel. 11 12
- Outpaced Qian Daoliu during their race and subsequent pursuit toward Soul Hunting Town. 11 12
- Possesses nine soul rings: eight black rings and one hundred-thousand-year red ring. 15
Angel Sword
Qian Wushuang can condense a sword of sacred flame and channel immense soul power through it. 15
- Expanded the weapon into a hundred-meter blade during his attack on Qian Daoliu. 15
- Its strike opened a crack over one thousand meters long in Star Dou Forest and reduced surrounding ancient trees to dust. 15
- The attack forced Qian Daoliu to defend with the Angel Holy Sword and a sacred shield. 15
Seventh Soul Skill: Avatar of Spirit
Qian Wushuang manifests and merges with a giant six-winged angel avatar. 15
- Greatly amplifies his angelic presence and combat power. 15
- The avatar radiates sacred light across the battlefield. 15
Ninth Soul Skill: *Angel Descent*
A mutated skill resulting from an accident during Qian Wushuang's Angel trials. It summons a divine angelic projection wielding the Judgment Blade. 15
- Temporarily elevates his strength beyond the scope of a Rank 99 Peerless Douluo. 15
- Creates a thousand-meter angelic phantom carrying a massive blade wreathed in divine flame. 15
- The Judgment Blade absorbs surrounding natural energy before striking. 15
- Its pressure terrifies soul beasts across a radius of one hundred li. 15
- Qian Daoliu believes a direct hit would kill or cripple him. 15
Relationships
- Qian Renheng — Great-grandson and resurrector. Qian Wushuang is bound by the resurrection’s soul restriction not to harm or defy him; he supports Renheng's ambitions and protects him. 3 5 15
- Qian Renxue — Great-granddaughter. He dotes on her, accompanies her soul-ring hunt, and protects her alongside Qian Renheng. 4 9 11
- Qian Daoliu — Son. Their relationship is combative and strained, marked by Daoliu initially attacking him as an impostor and Wushuang repeatedly reprimanding him. 6 10 15 17
- Qian Xunji — Grandson. Qian Wushuang shows him affection after revealing his identity. 8
- Qian Wuji — Younger brother. Qian Wushuang seeks his revival, reunites with him afterward, and cautiously discusses their former ambitions to reshape the continent. 4 26 28
- Qian Yanyan — Father. Qian Wushuang explains the changed era and Qian Renheng's abilities after Yanyan is revived; he accepts punishment from his father without resisting. 51 52
- Qian Renheng and Qian Renxue — He plans for both siblings to learn the Qian family's Angel Sword Technique after they fully internalize foundational swordsmanship. 47
Story Role / Major Arcs
Resurrection and Return
Qian Renheng resurrects Qian Wushuang in the Hall of Douluo, restoring his body and soul. Qian Wushuang awakens before his own grave and learns that Qian Renheng and Qian Renxue are his great-grandchildren. 3
He immediately recognizes the strategic value of Renheng's Death Angel ability and proposes reviving his younger brother, Qian Wuji. He also agrees to obtain a hundred-thousand-year soul ring and soul bone for Renheng and support his ambition to overthrow the two empires. 4 5
Conflict with Qian Daoliu
When he arrives at the Hall of Consecration, Qian Daoliu and the Worships mistake him for a hostile impostor. The misunderstanding escalates into battle before Qian Wushuang's identity is confirmed. 6 8
Qian Wushuang subsequently shields Qian Renheng and Qian Renxue from Qian Daoliu's intended punishment, publicly reasserting his authority within the family and Spirit Hall. 9 10
Star Dou Forest Training
He escorts Qian Renheng and Qian Renxue on their soul-ring hunt and races Qian Daoliu to Soul Hunting Town. 11 12 Believing Daoliu is recklessly forcing the children to absorb thousand-year first rings, he attacks with the Angel Sword and prepares Angel Descent. 15
After the siblings explain purified Whale Glue's ability to improve a soul master's physique and enable higher-level ring absorption, he recognizes its importance and apologizes to Daoliu. 16 17 He later watches with concern and pride as the siblings successfully absorb four-thousand-year second soul rings and rise to Rank 27. 23
Revival of the Qian Ancestors
Qian Wushuang helps arrange Qian Wuji's resurrection and explains his brother's unusual fixation on red roses and burial customs. 26 After Wuji returns, the brothers discuss both the changes of the new era and their old plan to alter the Douluo Continent's power structure. 28 30
He later helps explain Qian Renheng's resurrection powers and twin mutated Angel martial souls to his resurrected father, Qian Yanyan. 51 Although he had earlier disciplined Qian Daoliu harshly, he is himself beaten by Qian Yanyan after Daoliu reports his conduct. 52
Spirit Hall Ambitions
With Qian Wuji, Qian Wushuang judges the two great empires and Seven Great Sects to be weak compared with Spirit Hall. He supports the prospect of Spirit Hall ending the era through its superior strength. 46
He also admires Tang San's ambition to build a second martial soul equipped entirely with hundred-thousand-year soul rings, as well as Tang San's rapid rise to Rank 30 in three months. 46
