Meng Shenji serves as the chief of Heaven Dou Royal Academy's three-member Education Committee alongside Bai Baoshan and Zhi Lin. He is an eight-ring control-system Spirit Douluo and participates directly in the academy's enrollment, team-building, and training decisions. 15

When Crown Prince Xue Qinghe brings Xia Yuan to the academy, Meng Shenji personally evaluates his martial soul and spirit rings. Recognizing that Xia Yuan's mutated Blue Silver Grass is far beyond ordinary Blue Silver Grass, he arranges Xia Yuan's admission and promises him the academy's best treatment. He also identifies Xia Yuan as a future candidate for the Imperial Fighting Team and the Continental Advanced Spirit Master Academy Elite Tournament. 15
