Appearance

  • Figure and bearing: Described as voluptuous and alluring, with a confident, catwalk-like stride 260.
  • Distinguishing expression: Her seductive smile and captivating manner lead the narration to call her a “born seductress” 260.
  • Voice: Her innate Charm extends to her voice, which can strongly affect young men 196.

Personality

Hu Liena’s loyalty to Bibi Dong does not prevent her from challenging her teacher’s judgment. After recognizing the weaknesses in Yu Xiaogang’s claims, the viewer-world Hu Liena confronts Bibi Dong despite being injured for doing so. She subsequently adopts a more indirect approach: exaggerating Yu Xiaogang’s supposed achievements so that the livestream can disprove them 37 38.

Her concern for Bibi Dong also changes her opinion of Spirit Hall’s consecrators. Although she once regarded them as deliberate opponents of her teacher, she comes to appreciate their attempts to make Bibi Dong acknowledge the evidence against Yu Xiaogang 49.

She can be caustic and openly profane toward Yu Xiaogang and Liu Erlong. Her criticism is often aimed at their refusal to engage with contrary evidence, while her own attachment to Tang Si becomes a source of embarrassment when the screen shows her counterpart falling in love 40 110 118 196 260.

In competition, she is proud but capable of accepting defeat. After losing to Tang Si, she concedes rather than disgrace herself or Bibi Dong by refusing the result 171.

Abilities & Skills

Heavenly Fox Martial Soul and Charm

A control-system Martial Soul associated with Hu Liena’s Charm 1 169.

  • Uses Charm as an opening attack in the tournament final 169.
  • Possesses an innately seductive voice outside formal combat 196.

Demon Charm

A Martial Soul Fusion Skill performed with Xie Yue 169.

  • Creates the fused combatant Demon Charm and spreads red mist across the arena 169.
  • Uses the Crimson Mist Domain while attacking opponents within the mist 169 171.
  • Limits: Tang Si can perceive it through the mist and withstand its attacks with his Golden Bell Shield. Maintaining the fusion exhausts both siblings’ Soul Power, eventually dispersing the domain 169 171.

Nine Yang Divine Skill

  • Cultivates over 30% faster than Spirit Hall’s highest-grade meditation methods, according to her report to Bibi Dong 207.

Divine Slaughter’s Domain

Obtained through Hell Road by both counterparts 204 207.

  • Its comprehensive effects encompass enhancement and suppression of combat strength, Soul Power circulation, reaction speed, and the senses 207.
  • Hu Liena in Tang Si’s world learns to control it with assistance from Spirit Hall members possessing unusual Martial Souls 230 234.
  • Trial hazard: Before obtaining it, heat, accumulated desire, and killing intent threaten her self-control on Hell Road 200 202.

Swordsmanship and Survival

  • Her counterpart contributes information about Slaughter City, Hell Road, and the King of Slaughter that Bibi Dong had taught her 194.

Equipment & Cultivation Resources

  • Spirit-Concentrating Wisdom Skull — 50,000 years: Originally prepared for her by Bibi Dong. Tang Si gives it to her counterpart as proof of sincerity when proposing their Slaughter City alliance; she begins absorbing it under his protection 193 195.
  • Singular Velvet Sky Chrysanthemum: Refined at level 60 in Tang Si’s world. Together with her over-limit sixth ring, it raises her Soul Power to approximately level 67½ 276.
  • Divine Bestowed Soul Ring — slightly over 80,000 years: Absorbed on Sea God Island as her seventh ring, raising her from level 70 to level 72 276.

Relationships

  • Xie Yue — Older brother and Demon Charm fusion partner. He is protective of her, occasionally rebukes her language, and questions Tang Si about their relationship 118 169 231.
  • Tang Si — Tournament opponent who becomes her counterpart’s ally and lover in Slaughter City. His gift of the Nine Yang Divine Skill gives her a practical means of easing tensions between him and Spirit Hall 169 193 196 204 231.
  • Yan — Longstanding Golden Generation companion with romantic feelings for her. He reacts furiously to her relationship with Tang Si; she physically stops his attack and warns him against attacking her boyfriend 230 231 232.

  • Yu Xiaogang — Target of the viewer-world Hu Liena’s criticism. She rejects his theoretical reputation and regards Bibi Dong’s fixation on him as dangerous 37 110 179.

History

Celestial-Screen Revelations

Hu Liena first appears alongside Yan and Xie Yue at the Continental Advanced Soul Master Academy Elite Tournament finals. The celestial screen later selects her and Oscar for rewards, increasing all their Soul Ring age limits by one thousand years 1 5.

Tang Si’s broadcast names Bibi Dong, Hu Liena, and Qian Renxue among the reasons for Spirit Hall’s eventual failure. Hu Liena is shocked to be implicated, even as the revelations increasingly lead her to question her teacher’s attachment to Yu Xiaogang 17 33.

After Bibi Dong injures her for openly criticizing him, Hu Liena works with the consecrators to expose the gap between Yu Xiaogang’s reputation and his demonstrated contributions. Their pressure eventually forces Bibi Dong to post “Yu Xiaogang is just trash!” on the celestial screen 37 38 51 109.

Defeat in Tang Si’s Tournament Final

In the broadcast world, Tang Si interrupts Hu Liena’s opening Charm with Mental Shock. She and Xie Yue answer with Demon Charm, but neither their attacks nor the red mist overcome his defenses. Once they exhaust their Soul Power, she admits defeat 169 171.

Slaughter City and Parallel Trials

The viewer-world Hu Liena chooses Slaughter City as a training ground because she wants to keep pace with the herb-enhanced Shrek members and help shoulder Bibi Dong’s burdens. Before leaving, she again challenges her teacher’s fixation on Yu Xiaogang and suggests that the Rakshasa God’s evil intent may be influencing her 179.

Her counterpart encounters Tang Si in Slaughter City but initially refuses friendship because of their factions’ history. He reveals his identity, explains that his mother has been resurrected, and proposes cooperating toward one hundred victories and an escape through Hell Road. The Spirit-Concentrating Wisdom Skull helps secure their alliance 192 193.

Living and fighting together gradually changes her attitude. Tang Si’s explanation of Spirit Hall’s value to commoners particularly affects her; they become lovers, and he teaches her the Nine Yang Divine Skill 195 196.

Both counterparts undertake Hell Road. The viewer-world Hu Liena fights through bats and a giant lizard, while the broadcast counterpart nearly loses control under the combined effects of heat, desire, and killing intent. Tang Si restores her clarity, supplies life force, and keeps her within his Blue Silver Domain. Both Hu Lienas subsequently obtain Divine Slaughter’s Domain 201 202 204.

Return to Spirit Hall

Before separating, Hu Liena worries that she and Tang Si will become enemies again. He authorizes her to teach Spirit Hall the Nine Yang Divine Skill, sparing her an immediate choice between him and Bibi Dong 204.

After two and a half years away, she reunites with Yue Guan, Gui Mei, and Bibi Dong. She presents the cultivation technique as her greatest gain from Slaughter City—even above Divine Slaughter’s Domain—and offers to teach it to her teacher 207.

Star Dou Great Forest Confrontation

Hu Liena reunites with Tang Si while accompanying Spirit Hall’s hunt for Xiao Wu. She prevents Yue Guan and Yan from attacking him, then reveals that he supplied the technique they have all been cultivating 230 231.

The hunt forces her to confront the limits of reconciling personal affection with factional duty. She explains that Bibi Dong already knows about the relationship and has ordered her to recruit Tang Si, while maintaining that no one may obstruct Spirit Hall’s unification of the continent. Hu Liena favors recruiting him and accepting his proposed Immortal Herb exchange over capturing Xiao Wu 232.

Voyage and Sea God Island Training

Hu Liena later meets Tang Si’s party in Vast Sea City and arranges their ship and supplies. She explains Spirit Hall’s failed attack on Sea God Island and why its members are unwelcome there 260.

Her cultivation accelerates during the island training: after reaching level 70, she absorbs a Divine Bestowed Soul Ring and advances to level 72. She later reaches level 79. Although she still worries about a future conflict, Tang Si reassures her that he wants Spirit Hall to unify and rule the continent 276 281 283.
