Background and History

Broly lived on the desolate New Vegeta Planet with his father, Paragus. Paragus regarded him as both the foundation of his ambition to rule the Saiyans and an uncontrollable danger, keeping a controller to restrain him. Broly underwent near self-destructive training while Paragus sought a way to bring Vegeta to the planet. 20

When Tang Yangbing and Son Goku arrived, Broly fixated on Goku as “Kakarot.” His hatred stemmed from a grudge he retained from infancy, reducing his attention to a singular urge to kill Goku. 21

Broly initially endured Goku's Super Saiyan attacks, including a full-powered Kamehameha, with almost no effect. His rage then drove him into the Legendary Super Saiyan transformation. Paragus attempted to stop him with the controller, but Broly's power overwhelmed the device and shattered his restraint. 21 22

Tang Yangbing entered the battle after Broly began overpowering Goku. Even Tang's Full-Power Super Saiyan form was initially thrown back by Broly's strength, and their clash devastated the planet's landscape. Tang later used telekinesis to pin Broly to the ground for one minute, fulfilling a System mission, but Broly eventually broke free. 22 24
