Vegeta joins the Earth’s defenders when Frieza, King Cold, and Kuriza arrive. Though he maintains a composed exterior, Frieza’s overwhelming presence unsettles him. He takes command of the group’s approach, ordering everyone to suppress their ki and avoid flying because the enemy is using scouters. 6 7

Tang Yangbing’s effortless destruction of Frieza’s forces leaves Vegeta humiliated but determined. He vows to surpass Tang and immediately returns to Bulma’s home to pursue gravity training. 11 13

After attaining Super Saiyan, Vegeta repeatedly challenges Tang Yangbing. Tang dismisses his strength and easily handles his attacks, but notices that Vegeta deliberately restrains lethal force—a change attributed to his time living on Earth and Bulma’s influence. 18 19 20
