The battlefield was shrouded in dust and smoke.
Uchiha Madara and Senju Hashirama locked eyes, both their gazes filled with complicated emotions. Just minutes ago, Senju Tobirama had tried to ambush Uchiha Izuna with the Flying Thunder God Slash. Had that blade landed, Uchiha Izuna would have had no chance of surviving. But Uchiha Yan had intervened—he seemed to have anticipated Senju Tobirama's move, stepping in front of Uchiha Izuna the instant spatial ripples appeared and blocking that fatal strike. He then kicked Senju Tobirama away.
Senju Tobirama crashed through three large trees, coughing up blood. Whether he lived or died was unknown.
"Hashirama, the Senju Clan has already lost," Uchiha Madara called out.
Senju Hashirama did not respond. His gaze rested on Tobirama's fallen body, and blood vessels filled those usually gentle eyes. He had once had several younger brothers—Senju Kawarama, Senju Itama—who had died one after another on the battlefield. During the Warring States Era, fewer than half of all children survived to adulthood. This was true for the Senju Clan, and it was true for the Uchiha Clan as well. And Tobirama was his only remaining brother in this world.
"Wood Release: Wood Human Technique."
Hashirama's only answer to Uchiha Madara was a cold Wood Release technique. A colossal wooden humanoid rose from the ground, blotting out the sky. Hashirama stood atop its head, his expression darker than ever before.
Uchiha Madara's heart sank at the sight. He and Hashirama had shared the same dream since childhood, and their battles had forged a deep bond between them. But now that Tobirama had been severely wounded, Hashirama had clearly lost his reason. Madara had no choice but to face the friend he least wished to fight.
"Hashirama, if you insist, then let's fight."
Known as the Rose of the Battlefield and the Ninja Asura, Uchiha Madara was a born fighter. Now that Izuna had not died, Madara remained the good older brother who loved his younger brother, not one consumed by darkness. A massive blue Susanoo instantly rose from the ground, enveloping him as it drew its blade and charged toward the wooden humanoid.
Boom—
The first clash between the two giants made the entire battlefield tremble. The wooden humanoid's fist slammed into Susanoo's blade, and the resulting shockwave uprooted the surrounding trees. Uchiha Yan retreated several hundred meters with Izuna before they escaped the battle's aftermath.
"Lord Izuna, we should go help Lord Madara." Uchiha Yan stared at the battlefield, his expression grave.
Uchiha Izuna shook his head. His Mangekyo Sharingan remained fixed on the battle, his eyes full of faith in his brother. "My brother won't lose."
Uchiha Yan was anxious beyond words. He had transmigrated here, and in his past life, he had been a Naruto fan. When he had first arrived, he had been rather excited—after all, who hadn't gone through a chuunibyou phase when they were young? Who didn't envy the Sharingan and the sheer majesty of piloting a Gundam? But once the excitement passed, he had broken out in a cold sweat.
The current timeline was not far from when Uchiha Izuna would be killed by Senju Tobirama. In the original story, the Uchiha completely collapsed after Izuna's death and eventually surrendered to the Senju. Then, under Senju Tobirama's suppression, the Uchiha Clan gradually became Konoha's political sacrifice.
He had to change this situation. The only way was to save Uchiha Izuna, then launch a counterattack against the Senju Clan.
He had finally found the right moment to save Izuna and severely injure Tobirama, yet Uchiha Izuna was no longer in a hurry? If Hashirama had not been holding back all these years, your brother would have been beaten to a pulp long ago. Now that he had beaten Senju Tobirama to within an inch of his life, Senju Hashirama truly intended to kill.
Sure enough, Uchiha Madara, without the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan, soon began to show signs of fatigue.
Cracks began to appear in Susanoo's skeletal frame, and its blue glow flickered erratically. Hashirama's wooden humanoid, meanwhile, showed no sign of weakening. Instead, it grew fiercer with every exchange, each punch carrying overwhelming force. Uchiha Madara gritted his teeth and held on, but his faintly trembling arms showed that he was nearing his limit.
"Lord Izuna!" Uchiha Yan cried anxiously.
Uchiha Izuna's expression changed as well. At last, he saw the situation clearly—his brother truly could not defeat Senju Hashirama.
"We have to support Lord Madara!" Uchiha Yan no longer waited for Izuna's reply. He activated his Mangekyo Sharingan at full power. The tomoe in his scarlet pupils spun rapidly as a tremendous surge of chakra erupted from his body. A huge azure-blue Susanoo rose from the ground, wielding a long blade with imposing majesty.
When Uchiha Yan had transmigrated, this body had possessed only a three-tomoe Sharingan. Perhaps the experience of dying once had stirred his soul, because not long after arriving, he awakened the Mangekyo Sharingan.
Seeing his brother about to lose, Izuna hesitated no longer. His Mangekyo Sharingan opened fully, and another orange-red Susanoo appeared on the battlefield. It held a longbow, its arrow aimed directly at the distant wooden humanoid.
For a moment, four colossal figures towered across the battlefield, blotting out the sky like gods descending upon the world.
"Hahaha!" Uchiha Madara threw back his head and laughed, his voice brimming with exhilaration. "Hashirama, my Uchiha Clan is the strongest! Come on!"
The three Susanoo attacked at once. Uchiha Madara's Susanoo met the wooden humanoid head-on with its blade, the collision between sword edge and wooden arm sending splinters flying through the air. Uchiha Yan's Susanoo cut in from the left, its twin blades crossing as they carved two deep gashes into the wooden humanoid's waist. Izuna's Susanoo roamed the perimeter, repeatedly drawing its bow, every chakra arrow striking the wooden humanoid with precise accuracy.
Senju Hashirama truly was strong. He had suppressed Uchiha Madara alone for so many years, his strength far beyond that of ordinary ninja. But even two fists could not withstand four hands when faced with the siege of three Susanoo.
The wooden humanoid's right hand had just blocked Madara's blade when its left was entangled by Uchiha Yan's twin swords. Izuna's arrows struck the opening. Though they could not inflict fatal wounds, they made the wooden humanoid's movements increasingly sluggish.
Sweat appeared on Hashirama's forehead as well. His Sage Mode was still active, and his recovery remained astonishing, but chakra expenditure was real. With the three Susanoo attacking in turns, he did not even have time to stop and recover.
"Wood Release: Deep Forest Emergence." Senju Hashirama unleashed his ultimate technique. Countless trees burst from the ground and surged toward Uchiha Madara and the other two.
"Fire Release: Majestic Destroyer Flame." Uchiha Madara, Izuna, and Yan unleashed ninjutsu at the Wood Release simultaneously. The entire battlefield instantly became a sea of flames.
Senju Hashirama was indeed the strongest Hokage, the God of Shinobi, but under Uchiha Yan and the other two's relentless attacks, even the God of Shinobi could not endure.
At last, the wooden humanoid's enormous body crashed to the ground. Hashirama leaped down from its head, dropping to one knee as he panted heavily.
Uchiha Madara also dispelled his Susanoo and stood before Hashirama, looking down at him from above. The three Susanoo slowly dissipated behind them, but Uchiha Yan and Izuna had already landed to Madara's left and right. The three formed a triangle, surrounding Hashirama.
"Hashirama, you've lost."
