Background / History
Jackie Chan is active in the Jackie Chan Adventures world when Qiao Luo reviews the memories of a chakra reincarnation who had served as a Section 13 officer. That reincarnation learned a full set of martial arts from Jackie before dying during Shendu’s resurrection crisis 2.
During Shendu’s resurrection in Hong Kong, Jackie joins Captain Black, Uncle, and Section 13 in trying to stop Shendu. Shendu restrains Jackie with telekinesis and nearly kills him with dragon minions before Uncle’s chi magic gives Jackie a chance to escape 2.
Jackie helps remove talismans from Shendu after Qiao Luo and Jade create an opening. He pulls out the Sheep Talisman, while Jade and Qiao Luo remove the others. After Shendu is turned back into a statue and destroyed, Jackie initially celebrates the new year, only for Uncle to explain that Shendu’s death has unbalanced yin and yang 3.
After Qiao Luo steals all Twelve Talismans instead of handing them to Captain Black, Jackie is caught off guard by the betrayal. On Qiao Luo’s later return, Jackie recognizes him despite his childlike appearance and tries to persuade him to return the talismans to Section 13, but Qiao Luo refuses 4 51 53.
During Jade’s Demon Tattoo crisis, Jackie works with Uncle and Tohru to research the Book of Spells and deal with Jade’s transformation. He is temporarily paralyzed by Qiao Luo, then quickly recovers and remains focused on Jade’s safety 51 52.
When Jade becomes Queen Jade and Shendu’s group heads for the experimental spacecraft, Jackie reluctantly accepts Qiao Luo’s help. Qiao Luo transports him through the Shadow Dimension, after which Jackie physically catches up to a launching spacecraft, shocking Qiao Luo with his apparent superhuman capability 55.
Jackie later reaches space, where he attempts to interfere with Shendu and the demons. During the confrontation with Tso Lan, Qiao Luo calls him and tells him Queen Jade is an ally, but Tso Lan immediately attacks Jackie with a gravitational wave and slams him into a hatch 57 58.
After Tso Lan is sealed and Jade is freed from Queen Jade’s control, Jackie is relieved to see Jade safe. He thanks Qiao Luo, though he is also visibly confused by Qiao Luo’s altered appearance under the Tara Mask 60.
Personality
Jackie is cautious, responsible, and protective, especially toward Jade. He repeatedly tries to stop her from using dangerous powers and insists she reflect on taking the Demon Tattoo 52 60.
He is principled about the talismans, believing they should not remain in one individual’s possession and should be secured by Section 13, even after Qiao Luo argues that Section 13 is unreliable 51.
Jackie is also persistent to the point of absurdity. Even without clear backup, he tries to stop Shendu’s group from releasing the Moon Demon and chases an experimental spacecraft during launch 55 57.
