Background / History

Mikoto lost both parents in battle seven years before Qiao Luo visited her household. The trauma of their deaths awakened her Sharingan; afterward, Qiao Luo comforted her, and the two became childhood sweethearts. Her grandfather, Uchiha Ryoshi, credits Qiao Luo with bringing her smiles back. 5 6

She and Qiao Luo were placed in an unusual two-person genin team under Tsunade. During Tsunade’s early instruction, Mikoto chose to specialize in medical ninjutsu rather than Monster Strength. By the time of their frontline escort mission, Tsunade considered her a qualified medical assistant, noting that she had reached the second stage of training and could make withered branches bloom. 5 7

Mikoto accompanied Tsunade and Qiao Luo to the Second Shinobi World War front. She served as Qiao Luo’s partner during ambushes, guarded Kato Dan’s body, assisted against Hidden Stone shinobi, and treated wounded Konoha personnel. 8 9 12

Following the Hidden Rain campaign, she continued fighting and performing medical work alongside Qiao Luo and Tsunade. Her three-tomoe Sharingan manifested after she was poisoned and separated from Qiao Luo in Hanzō’s poison mist. 42 44

The scent of another woman on Qiao Luo causes her Sharingan to emerge, and she becomes suspicious of his relationship with Tsunade and Konan.
