Background

Months before the Three One Sect became involved, Boss Zhao hired the Tang Sect to assassinate the leader of the Bihu Mountain Ninja Group. The contract triggered repeated retaliation attempts against Zhao, while Tang Sect disciples were killed or wounded protecting him. The sect altered Zhao's appearance and sent him away from the conflict, but he later sought outside aid for them from the Three One Sect. 17

The Tang Sect was also credited with killing the Mount Hiei ninja chief after a prior coalition operation failed to finish him. This placed it further at odds with Japanese ninja forces. 18

While guarding Boss Zhao at the Three One Sect, Tang Sect brothers You Ke and You Shou helped repel an assassination attempt using hidden threads. Qiao Luo intervened before the attackers could overwhelm them. 19

Sky-Piercing Cave Conflict

Tang Bingwen led a Tang Sect party to Sky-Piercing Cave to confront the Bihu Mountain Ninja Group. He initially resisted accepting Qiao Luo into the operation, fearing that outside involvement would bring the Three One Sect years of retaliation. 22 23

Qiao Luo restored Tang Bingwen's ruined left eye, prompting the sect leader to accept him as an honored participant. Tang Bingwen recognized that Qiao Luo's healing could preserve the Tang Sect's personnel through the coming battle. 23

The Tang Sect's original plan was to use a ten-against-ten match to delay the Bihu ninjas until more disciples reached the mountain. Qiao Luo instead challenged all ten enemy ninjas alone, disrupting the plan but devastating the opposing force. 25

After the battle, Qiao Luo used the Horse Talisman's power to heal dozens of wounded and dying Tang Sect disciples. Tang Bingwen regarded the recovery of these members as preserving the sect's foundation. 27

Techniques and Methods

Hidden Threads

Tang Sect members use concealed threads for defense and interception. During the attack on Boss Zhao, You Ke's threads caught a poisoned needle and prevented it from reaching its target. 19

Toxic Miasma

Toxic Miasma is identified as the Tang Sect's signature defensive technique. It surrounds the user with qi poison that corrodes those who make contact. 23

Pill Devourer

Pill Devourer is the Tang Sect's ultimate art and an exceptionally dangerous poison-based cultivation method. It combines qi poison and medicinal poison into a technique capable of devouring any qi it contacts. 27
