Background / History

The Three One Sect was once an orthodox Daoist sect revered by many and supported by donations from believers and patrons, allowing its disciples to devote themselves to cultivation instead of worldly work 13. Its central pursuit was the Reverse Birth Triple Layer, a technique believed to let cultivators ascend and become immortals 12 13.

Zuo Ruotong, known as the Great Surplus Immortal, accepted Qiao Luo’s chakra reincarnation body as a disciple because of its strong talent for qi cultivation 12. That reincarnation body failed to prevent the destined clash between Zuo Ruotong and Wugen Sheng, after which Zuo Ruotong saw through the Reverse Birth Triple Layer and realized it could not lead to heaven or grant true immortality 12 13.

Reverse Birth Triple Layer

The Reverse Birth Triple Layer is the Three One Sect’s signature art. It transforms the body toward innate qi, granting youth preservation, regeneration, and extreme combat power, but it cannot heal old wounds or grant true immortality 13.

Qiao Luo’s Return

Qiao Luo and Zuo Ruotong returned to the Three One Sect after years away, shocking Zhang Yunze, Si Chong, and Cheng Zhen 17. Qiao Luo displayed Reverse Birth abilities and later used the Monkey Talisman to appear as an adult, reinforcing the sect members’ belief that he was an immortal reincarnated 17 18.
