As Sacred Lord, Duan Linchuan led the Heavenly Treasure Sacred Land's early exploration of a secret realm connected to the Celestial Origin Continent and Twin Valley Island. When the other great powers arrived, he publicly allowed them access rather than risk provoking numerous major sects, despite accusations that his sacred land had destroyed the connecting teleportation arrays. 744

He oversaw efforts to decipher the spatial grand formation in the Emerald Bamboo Domain, which consumed large quantities of Spatial Stones without yielding a breakthrough. He also permitted the Blazing Sun Sect and Azure Water Sword Pavilion to enter the secret realm early, judging that they would soon force their way in regardless. 747

After Qin Huaian entered a palace complex above the Central Fire Sea, Duan deduced that the formation selected cultivators with Yin-Yang Law attainments.
