Ruger lay with his arms behind his head, letting his thoughts wander and his mind relax.

Everything seemed to be looking up. He had a clearer direction, had found a suitable Ascension Ritual, and was now a genuine Level-Five Wizard Apprentice. The spells he had mastered were connected to the peculiar origin power, and his Mental Power was steadily approaching its limit. Everything looked good, yet something still felt off.

Suddenly, he felt his arm tremble.

His arm had not actually moved. It was something no one else could see: the Golden Key planted in his arm had consumed the jumble of inexplicable worries rising in his heart.

A jumble, with no clear thread to follow.

Ruger pursed his broad lips and chose to close his eyes for a nap.

He slept well, without dreams. It was a genuine pleasure, and he never entered that familiar dream world or visited the two crooked trees he had planted.

Once he woke, he said goodbye to his unfamiliar room without hesitation.

He headed toward the Teleportation Array marked on the map.

As he approached his destination, more Wizard Apprentices appeared along the way.

Ruger strolled along at his leisure. In a place full of knowledgeable Wizards and Wizard Apprentices, his appearance attracted no more than a moment of curiosity.

He held his head high and looked around. Watching the Wizard Apprentices step onto the Teleportation Array with Demon Hunter Badges in hand, he felt an inexplicable anticipation of his own.
