Tang Hao was born into the Clear Sky Sect and was considered important enough that his father prioritized his safety during a hundred-thousand-year soul beast hunt in the Star Dou Great Forest. As a six-year-old, he was protected while Clear Sky Sect members clashed with Da Ming after targeting Er Ming for a soul ring and soul bone 27.

When Tang Hao later met A Yin alongside Tang Xiao, Wang Chen's dream manipulation emphasized that both brothers immediately recognized her as a hundred-thousand-year soul beast. Tang Hao refused Tang Xiao's request to take her as an eighth ring and insisted she would become his own ninth soul ring and soul bone once he reached level ninety 7.
