Spirit Hall was established following the Angel God's ascension and has existed for nearly twenty thousand years. Its Angel lineage retains a divine inheritance, and the organization is associated with the sacred Six-Winged Angel Martial Soul 31 30.

In memories observed and altered by Wang Chen, Spirit Hall pursued A Yin after identifying her as a transformed hundred-thousand-year soul beast. Its deacons and Qian Xunji regarded Tang Hao and Tang Xiao's protection of her as collusion with soul beasts and a threat to humanity 8.

Spirit Hall has repeatedly attempted to unify the Douluo Continent. According to Qian Renxue, these efforts were disrupted when terrestrial and sea soul beasts invaded human territory, while the Sea God Pavilion also opposed Spirit Hall's unification 34.
