Background / History

Origin and seclusion

Gu Yuena is the Silver Dragon King, one of the two entities created when the Dragon God was split during the ancient war against the gods. She inherited the Dragon God's elemental authority and memories, while the Golden Dragon King became her opposing half and was sealed away. 354 379

Severely wounded, she escaped to Douluo Continent, concealed her aura, established herself as the ruler of the Star Dou Great Forest's soul beasts, and entered prolonged recovery. Her original purpose was to avenge the Dragon God, revive him, and restore the soul beasts' former status. 354 379

Alliance with Mo Lin

Mo Lin reaches Gu Yuena's hidden silver-and-purple sanctuary and meets her in her true dragon form. His complete immunity to her bloodline suppression and his willingness to address her as an equal immediately interest her. 379

Gu Yuena initially rejects Mo Lin's proposal for balanced coexistence between humans and soul beasts, believing humanity's greed makes lasting peace impossible. Her position begins to waver after Mo Lin argues that domination would only repeat the same cycle of oppression between the two races. 379 380

Trust is established after Mo Lin presents a Silver Dragon King scale carrying residual Fire Dragon King and Ice Dragon King attributes. Gu Yuena allows him to examine her injuries, revealing that her soul consists of one main fragment and innumerable shattered pieces. 380

Mo Lin gradually repairs and fuses fragments of her soul using a modified Double Full Hands technique supported by Winged Dragon divine power. In gratitude and to maintain contact, Gu Yuena embeds a specially prepared silver scale in his chest. 381 383 384

Defense of the Star Dou Great Forest

When two God Realm divine officials attack the Star Dou Great Forest's core region, Gu Yuena intervenes to protect her injured subordinates. She fights primarily through spatial power, both to preserve her still-limited reserves and to avoid exposing her identity too quickly. 384 385

After the battle, she determines that the damage caused by the divine officials and Mo Lin's heavenly lightning has been remedied. Rather than punish Mo Lin for drawing the God Realm's attention, she explains her reasoning and recognizes the need to understand human ways of thinking. 388

Engagement with human society

As her condition improves, Gu Yuena becomes increasingly unwilling to remain isolated in the forest. She travels through the scale link to visit Mo Lin, accompanies Qiu'er into human society, and begins sampling human food and customs. 401 443 444

She remains concerned that peaceful coexistence must not reduce soul beasts to dependents of humans. While observing the human children and young soul beasts on Soul Beast Island, she seeks Snow Empress's candid assessment of whether they truly interact as equals. 426

Dragon Valley and divine inheritance

Gu Yuena agrees to teach Qian Renxue the use of divine power after Mo Lin offers Winged Dragon essence blood and a cultivation-supporting Eight Trigram Array. Despite her enduring dislike of human gods, she instructs Qian Renxue for a month in the Star Dou Great Forest's core region. 489 498

In the Dragon Clan Graveyard, Gu Yuena attempts to absorb both her own Silver Dragon King inheritance and the Golden Dragon King's share. The opposing inheritances nearly cause irreversible damage until Mo Lin uses Winged Dragon essence blood and divine power to reconcile them, allowing her to absorb the full inheritance. 505 506

God Realm operation

Gu Yuena returns to the God Realm in dragon form and charges toward the Divine Forbidden Land, drawing the attention of fourteen first-class gods and later the God Kings. Her assault allows Mo Lin to reverse the God Realm's energy flow and pull the power of faith back toward the lower realms. 590

When the formations destabilize, Gu Yuena avoids the God of Destruction's attack and escapes into the Divine Forbidden Land. 591

Appearance

Gu Yuena possesses both a colossal Silver Dragon King form and a human form. Even while injured, her appearance and bearing retain the majesty of a god. 379 380

  • True form — A silver dragon roughly one hundred zhang long, covered in dense silver scales, with silver horns, enormous wings, and noble purple dragon eyes. 379
  • Human form — Around 1.75 meters tall, with silver hair reaching her ankles, clear violet eyes, and a white gauze dress. 380
  • Condition — Her human-form skin is notably pale due to her injuries. 380
  • Presence — Her aura carries the innate nobility of an injured god and fallen king. 380

Personality

Gu Yuena is direct and initially unfamiliar with human social conventions. She speaks bluntly, acts according to soul beast standards, and does not always understand why humans find her behavior intrusive or embarrassing. 379 384

The Dragon God's memories shape her deep hostility toward humanity and her determination to secure a future for soul beasts. However, she is capable of reconsidering deeply held beliefs when confronted with Mo Lin's arguments about the repeating cycle of conflict. 379 380

As she recovers and leaves seclusion, she becomes curious about human society and develops a mischievous sense of humor, especially when teasing Mo Lin and provoking Hu Liena's jealousy. 388 443 444

Despite her severity, Gu Yuena is protective of the soul beasts under her rule and openly prioritizes valuable allies. She punishes Di Tian for abandoning Mo Lin in the Dragon Valley pocket world, emphasizing that Mo Lin's treatment and alliance are vital to their future. 384 503

Abilities & Skills

Silver Dragon King divine authority

As the Dragon God's Silver Dragon King half, Gu Yuena possesses God King-level potential and inherited authority over elemental power. At full recovery, she is expected to return to God King-level strength; after absorbing the complete divided inheritance, her eventual realm may exceed it. 354 425 506

  • Her bloodline naturally suppresses dragon-descended beings; even Di Tian immediately submits before her. 379
  • She is recognized by Di Tian and the Star Dou Great Forest's ferocious beasts as their lord. 384
  • Her injuries greatly restrict the amount of divine power she can safely use. 385

Spatial manipulation

Gu Yuena's most consistently displayed elemental specialty is spatial power. Her hidden sanctuary includes a highly sophisticated barrier that permits Lake of Life energy to enter while excluding other access. 379

  • Creates and dismisses spatial passages for precise long-range teleportation. 401 489 499
  • Uses the scale embedded in Mo Lin to travel directly to his location. 384 442
  • Fought the two divine officials through spatial attacks while concealing her broader elemental capabilities. 385
  • Can neutralize a massive wind-based attack instantly. 384

Elemental power

The Silver Dragon King inherited the Dragon God's ability to control the elements, with accounts crediting her with authority extending to space and time. 354

  • Her divine power is sufficient to maintain barriers and spatial techniques that ordinary spatial-attribute soul masters cannot replicate. 379
  • Her elemental nature is heavily oriented toward spells and conflicts with the Golden Dragon King's body-tempering inheritance. 505
  • Winged Dragon divine power is required to reconcile her attributes with the Golden Dragon King's inheritance. 506

Dragon God inheritance

Gu Yuena ultimately absorbs both the Silver Dragon King and Golden Dragon King portions of the Dragon God's inheritance. 506

  • The Golden Dragon King's portion was originally incompatible with her and nearly destroyed her body. 505
  • Mo Lin's essence blood strengthens and alters her constitution enough to accept the opposing inheritance. 506
  • The inheritance does not immediately heal her existing injuries and initially worsens them. 506

Equipment / Items

  • Silver Dragon King scale embedded in Mo Lin — A specially designed scale fused into Mo Lin's chest; lets Gu Yuena travel to him, monitor his physical condition, and supports their healing sessions. 383 384
  • Silver Dragon King scale bearing Fire and Ice Dragon King attributes — A scale carrying residual information from the Fire and Ice Dragon Kings; Mo Lin uses it to earn Gu Yuena's trust. 380

Relationships

  • Mo Lin — Ally, physician, and collaborator in the plan against the God Realm. He repairs her shattered soul, helps her absorb the Dragon God's complete inheritance, and challenges her views on humans and soul beasts. 380 383 506 590
  • Dragon God — Her original whole; Gu Yuena inherited his memories, elemental authority, and mission after his division. 354 379
  • Golden Dragon King — Her opposing half and the intended recipient of half the Dragon God's inheritance; Gu Yuena eventually absorbs his share with Mo Lin's assistance. 505 506
  • Di Tian — Subordinate and Beast God of the Star Dou Great Forest. He addresses her as his lord and accepts punishment when he abandons Mo Lin in the pocket world. 379 503
  • Qiu'er — Treated as a younger sister. Gu Yuena dotes on her, prioritizes her requests, and guides her adaptation to human society. 424 425
  • Qian Renxue — Brief student in the use of divine power. Gu Yuena teaches her for one month but remains emotionally distant because Qian Renxue inherits the Angel God's power. 489 498
  • Snow Empress — A respected soul beast with whom Gu Yuena candidly discusses whether human–soul beast coexistence can be truly equal. 426
