Background / History
The God Realm was formed and sustained by power of faith drawn from numerous lower realms. According to Mo Lin, this power should have helped elevate the worlds that produced it; its diversion instead limited those worlds’ overall growth and capacity to support god-level beings 590 592.
In the distant past, the Dragon God led soul beast gods against human gods led by Destruction, Life, Evil, and Goodness. The Dragon God was ambushed and split apart by the Asura God, while the beast gods suffered defeat. Surviving first-class beast gods were demoted to second-class gods, and weaker ones became divine beasts; afterward, soul beasts from the Douluo Plane could no longer become gods through cultivation 354.
The realm formally prohibits gods from entering subordinate worlds, but its gods repeatedly interfere with lower-realm affairs. Divine officials investigate anomalies, first- and second-class gods can influence mortal events, and God Kings may conceal or protect their subordinates’ violations 450 558.

Story Role / Major Arcs
Early Threat of Divine Intervention
After Mo Lin absorbed heavenly lightning during his tribulation, the Asura Demon Sword warned that the heavenly tribulation was sent by both the world and gods, and that its missing divine power could attract the God Realm’s attention 252. This concern materialized when two divine officials attacked the Star Dou Great Forest while searching for the lightning’s absorber 384 385.
Divine Inheritances and Political Concern
The realm monitored Mo Lin’s Asura God trials after he reached an unprecedented 200% affinity with the Asura divine position by the seventh trial. The God Kings reacted with surprise and concern, as no known inheritor had reached such affinity before completing the ninth trial 449.
Qian Renxue’s ascension as a Twelve-Winged Archangel and God King-level deity disrupted the God Realm’s internal balance. Her strength endangered the Asura God’s expected promotion to God King, causing open tension between him and the established God Kings 585 586.
Declaration of War
After inheriting the Asura God’s power, Mo Lin attacked the current Asura God through their connection, drained his origin power, and severely injured him 587 589. He then joined Qian Renxue and Gu Yuena in preparing an assault on the God Realm 589.
Gu Yuena entered the realm and drew the attention of fourteen first-class gods and three God Kings near the Divine Forbidden Land. While they focused on containing her, Mo Lin infiltrated the central region and deployed a hidden formation 590 591.
Reversal of the Power of Faith
Mo Lin used Grand Luo Insight to understand the God Realm’s operation and Wind Queen’s Arcane Gate to reverse its energy flow. The power of faith began returning to its original lower realms, depriving the God Realm of both its sustaining energy and its usual means of restoring divine power 590 591.
The failure of the faith-power supply caused the God Realm’s formations to collapse and spread panic among gods and divine envoys. At the same time, the returned energy allowed numerous humans and soul beasts from the Douluo Plane to break into god-level strength and ascend to the God Realm 591 592.
Trivia
