Background / History

Having only recently taken human form, Xiao Wu comes to Notting Academy and enters the Seventh Dormitory. She immediately challenges Ao Yin for the dormitory-boss position, following its rule that the strongest student leads. Her agility and Waist Bow nearly defeat him, but she ultimately concedes after Ao Yin uses an unfamiliar martial technique. She thereafter recognizes him as her boss. 13 14

Xiao Wu becomes curious about Ao Yin's martial arts because they do not require Soul Power. She is particularly interested in challenging his complete set of Awei's Eighteen Forms in a future spar. 14

When Tang San arrives in the dormitory, Xiao Wu challenges him herself. She defeats him first with her physical grappling and then reveals her Soft Bone Rabbit martial soul and superior Soul Power, severely damaging his Blue Silver Grass before making him acknowledge Ao Yin as boss. 16

After Ao Yin defeats Xiao Chenyu and the upperclassmen who had been bullying the work-study students, Xiao Wu claims the title of Notting Academy's boss for herself. Ao Yin supports her claim and asks the students to address him privately as Brother Ao instead. 33
