Jiang Yue’s Counseling Room

Xie Huanyue becomes the counseling room’s most frequent visitor during the months before the freshman assessment. Though he claims to be seeking treatment for a loss of appetite, he primarily comes for Jiang Yue’s emotion-infused cooking, visiting four times in the first five days of one month. 21

Freshman Assessment

Xie Huanyue advances with Luo Tianlong and Luo Tianba into the top sixteen. Before the elimination round, he agrees with Jiang Yue that their friendship and shared meals should continue regardless of the match result. 28

His team faces Jiang Yue’s team in the round of sixteen. Xie Huanyue uses aerial charges, his Pippi Elephant defenses, and his third soul skill to pressure Jiang Yue, but Jiang Yue disrupts the team with Live and Die Together and defeats Xie Huanyue after severing his active soul skill. 29

After the match, Xie Huanyue accepts Jiang Yue’s help in removing the lingering pain caused by the mental-link skill. He congratulates Jiang Yue on reaching the top eight and urges him to win the championship. 30
