Background / History

Dai Huabin is the legitimate second young master of the White Tiger Duke's Manor and a contender to inherit the title of White Tiger Duke. His cultivation talent surpasses that of his older brother, Dai Yaoheng, at the same age, and his access to the manor's resources helped him reach the Soul Elder rank before entering Shrek Academy. His greatest inherited advantage is his ability to perform the Netherworld White Tiger martial soul fusion skill with Zhu Lu. 12 13 20

He enrolled in Freshman Class Five alongside Zhu Lu. Jiang Yue declined to compete for class monitor, allowing Dai Huabin to take the post; Dai interpreted Jiang Yue's indifference as contempt and immediately viewed him as a rival. The two were assigned as roommates. 13 14

Dai attacked Jiang Yue in their dormitory after becoming enraged by what he believed was disrespect. Despite using White Tiger Possession and his enhancement skills, he was decisively defeated: Jiang Yue redirected Dai's enhancement effects, destabilized his soul power through emotional manipulation, and left him unconscious amid the collapse of their dormitory floor. The incident spread throughout the freshman class and damaged Dai's reputation. 14 15 19

During the freshman assessment, Dai formed a team with Zhu Lu and Cui Yajie, seeking a rematch with Jiang Yue. His team reached the final, but Jiang Yue again overwhelmed him. Dai and Zhu Lu activated Netherworld White Tiger, yet their emotional disconnect made the fusion unstable; Zhu Lu realized that Dai's heart held rage and desire for power, but no love for her. Jiang Yue ultimately broke the fusion apart and defeated both of them. 28 33 34

After the assessment, Dai entered Class One with Zhu Lu. His defeats did not diminish his hostility toward Jiang Yue, and he remained one of the strongest first-year students aside from Jiang Yue. His potential to challenge stronger opponents depends heavily on whether he and Zhu Lu can still successfully use their fusion skill. 35 47

Personality

Dai is intensely proud of his lineage, talent, and strength. He considers himself superior to his peers and expects others to recognize his status, making him quick to interpret indifference or criticism as humiliation. 13 14

His temper is explosive and his judgment deteriorates when angry. Rather than accepting his initial defeat to Jiang Yue, he attacked again after the duel had already ended and later treated the freshman assessment as an opportunity to erase that humiliation. 14 28

He is also persistent and formidable despite these flaws. Even after suffering repeated losses, he continues to pursue strength and refuses to concede the gap between himself and Jiang Yue. 33 35
