The Alliance and Horde Could No Longer Unite

Above Crystalsong Forest, Eldre'Thalas flew to the position where Dalaran should have been.

In the original history, Dalaran had flown above Crystalsong Forest to deal with the Blue Dragonflight there, not the Scourge. Eldre'Thalas, on the other hand, had come to support the Argent Vanguard's position.

The Kingdom of Lordaeron and the Kingdom of Quel'Thalas had suffered the worst devastation at the hands of the Scourge. Now, setting aside the conflict between the Alliance and Horde, the two had joined forces to wage a war of vengeance against the Scourge.

Eldre'Thalas's main building, once the residence of the Highborne prince Tortheldrin, was now Grand Magister Rommath's mage tower.

Sun King Kael'thas Sunstrider, Grand Magister Rommath, Senior Inspector Tae'thelan Bloodwatcher, Guardian Med'an, Rend, and the others were discussing Ulduar's secrets together.

"We've actually been overlooking this threat all along."

Just as they were about to continue their discussion, the undead mage Meryl Eastwind appeared with his deadpan face. He nodded at them. Behind him, Horde Warchief Thrall led the way, with Garrosh Hellscream and Dranosh Saurfang following at his left and right.

"Warchief, thank you for coming to Eldre'Thalas so quickly." As the host and a member of the Horde, Sun King Kael'thas Sunstrider greeted Warchief Thrall.

The undead mage Meryl Eastwind had gone to Orgrimmar in the Guardian's name to find Thrall. Knowing this concerned Azeroth's safety, Thrall asked, "What happened, Sun King?"

Sun King Kael'thas Sunstrider had a rough idea of what this was about, but he stepped aside and allowed the initiator, Guardian Med'an, to speak for himself.
