Reverse-Flash

Lu Mingyu was carried away by a streak of red lightning just as he reversed his lightning energy. Before he could even see it clearly, the red lightning had taken him away.

By the time he reacted, he had arrived in a rather remote place. Standing before Lu Mingyu was someone clad entirely in a yellow suit. At the center of the suit was an emblem: a red lightning bolt against a black background.

Lu Mingyu cried out, "Reverse-Flash?"

"You know me?" Reverse-Flash did not deny it. He was simply astonished. He had no idea why the boy before him knew his name. He was curious—and also curious why this child could wield this kind of lightning.

Reverse-Flash believed this lightning should only exist if the Flash existed. He could not understand why the child in front of him possessed the same ability.

"Swan?" As soon as Lu Mingyu said that name, Reverse-Flash sucked in a sharp breath. He did not understand why this person even knew his name.

He stared at Lu Mingyu in disbelief. "Are you the Flash?"

Lu Mingyu shook his head. He did not say that he was the Flash, but neither did he deny it. "My codename in this world is the Flash. I know about you, but you don't know about me. I'm not the Flash you're talking about. Got it?"

Reverse-Flash nodded. "So I really did cross into a parallel dimension?"

"What, are you surprised?" Lu Mingyu did not understand why Reverse-Flash was so shocked.

Reverse-Flash said, "But I can't find my doppelganger in this world. Do you know what that means?"

For some reason, Reverse-Flash did not know why he trusted the boy before him so much. He did not know whether it was because of that red lightning or something else.

So, Reverse-Flash asked him outright.

Lu Mingyu did not know what was going on, but he understood what Reverse-Flash meant by a doppelganger.

He looked at Reverse-Flash and said slowly, "You couldn't find your doppelganger? How is that possible? Every world should have someone exactly like you. Even if they're dead, there should still be some trace of them."

"Actually, I mean there's no one with my family name. I'm not sure whether I arrived in the right timeline." Reverse-Flash had clearly gone through a crossing before, or he would not be unaware of the time here.

But Lu Mingyu suddenly realized something. This was the Marvel world. If Reverse-Flash knew the time and the world here, that would be downright impossible! Once Lu Mingyu realized this, he did not know how to explain it to Reverse-Flash. He could only say, "You know about parallel worlds, right?"

"I know what doppelgangers are. Do you think I wouldn't know about parallel worlds?" Reverse-Flash sounded impatient. For some reason, he desperately wanted to leave this place.

Seeing the anxiety in Reverse-Flash's eyes, Lu Mingyu said, "You're hiding from the Time Wraith?"

"You know that too?" Reverse-Flash looked at Lu Mingyu incredulously. He truly could not understand why this person knew so much. Had he really dragged over a know-it-all who possessed powers like his own?

But Reverse-Flash knew that this person definitely did not possess the same power as him, because the Speed Force on him carried an unfamiliar scent. It was not the Speed Force as normally understood. Moreover, he could switch between the powers of the Flash and Reverse-Flash. That had made Reverse-Flash curious, so in that instant, he had taken Lu Mingyu away.

Lu Mingyu looked at Reverse-Flash. "This is actually another parallel world. Let me put it this way: your world and the Flash's world have their own parallel-world system—Earth-One, Earth-Two, and so on."

"But here, there's another parallel-world system. There's no Flash, no Reverse-Flash, no doppelganger of you, and none of the doppelgangers from your Earth system. There is only this parallel universe's own system. The reason you were transported here was probably because of the rift Stephen mentioned." Lu Mingyu analyzed it like that, unsure whether Reverse-Flash could understand.

"Even though I know parallel worlds are already absurd, what you're saying sounds even more absurd. So I've decided not to kill you." The corner of Reverse-Flash's mouth curled upward slightly. He knew he had found a treasure.

Reverse-Flash had originally taken Lu Mingyu away because he wanted to study the Speed Force within him and strengthen his own Speed Force. But now, it seemed that what this little fellow had in his head was what he needed most. Unbeknownst to Lu Mingyu, his loose tongue had made his chances of survival much clearer, no longer so slim.

At least for the time being, Lu Mingyu was safe. Lu Mingyu looked at Reverse-Flash. "You were planning to kill me?"

"Of course. Since you know who I am, you should know where I stand, right? I want to defeat the Flash, and the Speed Force on you seems capable of strengthening my power while keeping me from relying on the Flash's power. Through this kind of Speed Force, I can integrate my own power and make it stronger. Then I won't even have to fear the Time Wraith." Reverse-Flash meant that he had already seen that Lu Mingyu's Speed Force was not standard—or rather, was not part of the same system as his own. That made him curious and greedy. He wanted to absorb Lu Mingyu's Speed Force.

However, all of that vanished because of Lu Mingyu's loose tongue.

"What I need to do now is avoid the Time Wraith." Reverse-Flash looked at Lu Mingyu. "Do you have a way? If not, I'll just kill you."

A chill ran through Lu Mingyu's body. He turned to look at Reverse-Flash. "I don't think you can kill me, because you can barely save yourself."

The Time Wraith pierced through the barrier between worlds from midair and appeared directly above them. It howled as it stared at Reverse-Flash. In the Time Wraith's eyes, Reverse-Flash seemed like a delicious feast. At least, that was what Lu Mingyu thought. Lu Mingyu looked at Reverse-Flash. "How about it? Make a deal?"

The Time Wraith was crawling out, struggling desperately to break through the barrier. After all, these were different worlds—one belonged to DC, the other to Marvel. Normally, there was no Speed Force in the Marvel world, so Lu Mingyu knew the only reason the Time Wraith and Reverse-Flash had their powers was because of the unique Speed Force within him.

The corner of Reverse-Flash's mouth twitched. "Are you threatening me?"

"What? You're about to die, aren't you?" Lu Mingyu raised his head and looked at Reverse-Flash. He knew that even if Reverse-Flash somehow escaped the Time Wraith's pursuit, he would still need Lu Mingyu to return to the DC world. Therefore, he knew that whatever request he made now, Reverse-Flash would agree to it.

Although Reverse-Flash was a villain, Lu Mingyu considered him someone who kept his word. At least, that was what Lu Mingyu believed. He innocently thought that Reverse-Flash was a villain who honored his promises.

Reverse-Flash said, "Speak!"

"I want you to teach me how to use my powers."
