Lu Mingyu was taken away by a runner wreathed in red lightning, and Tony felt afraid. He did not know why so many speedsters had suddenly appeared. Black Lantern Quicksilver had appeared first, followed by Lu Xuanying, and now there was this red lightning speedster.
The appearance of so many speedsters gave Tony a headache. Yes, he now felt like there was trouble everywhere. Especially since there were so many advanced weapons in his tower—if any speedster took them away, the consequences would be unthinkable.
"What are you doing?" Stephen's voice came from behind Tony. The sudden voice made Tony shudder, though not noticeably, because he knew Doctor Strange had once again arrived in his lab through a portal.
Tony turned around and looked at Stephen. "A speedster just took Lu Mingyu away. You didn't come because of that, did you?"
Doctor Strange looked at Tony, seized by an urge to kill. His eyes darkened. "Do you know the room where you keep your files? The room I sealed with magic—you know the one, right?"
"What happened?"
"It was robbed. Mordo came and took all the files. Everything about you and your teammates is at risk of being exposed. They want to pick you off one by one, but the scariest part is that you didn't even know the archive room had been robbed!" Doctor Strange's voice wavered, his tone turning strange. He was clearly furious at Tony's carelessness.
"So it was robbed. I don't care."
"What is wrong with you?" Faced with Tony's indifferent expression, Doctor Strange did not know what to say. He could not understand where Tony's confidence came from. Tony should have understood the dangers of exposed information.
But why was Tony not panicking at all?
Could it be that Tony hadn't...
"Tell me, did you really believe all the files were in that archive room? Or did you think there were even paper files?" As Tony spoke, his expression became animated. He was clearly eager to show off something.
Doctor Strange nodded. "Yes."
"You really wouldn't store something so important like that." Doctor Strange's eyes lit up as he thought of something.
Tony nodded. "When you came in here looking for me, Mordo came too. At the time, I thought he was one of your followers or something, but luckily, I assumed the worst. So I had Jarvis set up a fake room, put blank sheets of paper inside, then told you it was the archive room and specifically had you cast a spell to protect it."
Doctor Strange nodded. He understood what Tony meant. There had never been any files. Even if there were, they were all in Tony's own head—not even Jarvis knew about them.
Just then, Spider-Man rushed in through the laboratory door. "Uncle Tony, Little Lu was taken away!"
"I know. I'm analyzing that person's movements—or rather, where he went." Tony thought for a moment, then continued, "Jarvis is almost done with the analysis. You should know how difficult this is to figure out."
The moment Doctor Strange heard Lu Mingyu's name, he became agitated. "What did you say? He was taken away? While you and this little baby were here?"
"By a speedster." Tony did not hide it. He looked at Doctor Strange. "Have you found the rift?"
Doctor Strange shook his head. He did not know where the rift was, nor could he sense its existence. But he knew that things from other worlds were being transported into this world; otherwise, Quicksilver would not have been resurrected like this.
At least, that was what Doctor Strange believed.
He looked at Tony. "Do you know where Little Lu was taken?"
"Jarvis is analyzing it. All we can do now is wait." As he spoke, Tony put on his armor and said to Jarvis, "Once you finish the analysis, send the Iron Legion over there."
Jarvis acknowledged him and continued rapidly calculating the red lightning speedster's destination.
Before long, Jarvis reported Reverse-Flash's location. It was roughly near the outskirts.
Doctor Strange looked at the map, then said to Tony, "Come with me."
"What about me?" Spider-Man asked.
Doctor Strange looked at Spider-Man. "You've already pushed yourself past your limit. Otherwise, I would have taken you with us."
"My body can still hold on!" Spider-Man raised his arm, only to find it aching so badly that he could barely stand it. Doctor Strange then treated him with magic.
"Don't come with us today. We'll handle it. Trust us." Tony looked at Spider-Man. He had never expected a simple training session to end like this.
With the aid of the healing spell, Spider-Man left the laboratory dejectedly.
Tony had not expected Spider-Man to be so obedient this time. He turned to Doctor Strange. "Let's go together."
"Fine."
"Jarvis, do you know where they are?"
"Yes."
"Send me the location."
"What the hell is this place?" Spider-Man stood on a grassy field in the outskirts, watching a rabbit hop away before surveying the area. There was not a trace of battle, and... it seemed like he had been played.
Tony stood in an open area on the outskirts, staring at the black, rotten-looking phantom before him without daring to speak. He did not know what it was, and neither did Stephen.
Fortunately, the black monster ignored them completely.
Tony did not dare move carelessly, because the thing had actually passed through his body!
"This is..."
Stephen said, "A ghost?"
Tony shook his head. "Good thing I changed Jarvis's location marker. Otherwise, that kid would've followed us here. If he saw this, he'd definitely get excited and want to fight it."
"Stark?" Lu Mingyu watched the Time Wraith pass through Stark's body, deeply shocked. Still, he quickly calmed down and looked at Reverse-Flash beside him. "This is troublesome."
"What's wrong?" Reverse-Flash looked at Lu Mingyu. He did not understand why Lu Mingyu, who had seemed to have a solution, was suddenly calling it troublesome.
Lu Mingyu knew that he had probably come to this world through the rift. If he used the Speed Force to send the Time Wraith away, Doctor Strange would definitely sense the rift's existence—or his connection to it.
That made things troublesome.
"Like you, I came from another world," Lu Mingyu whispered, keeping an eye on the Time Wraith's movements. He feared that it might suddenly charge at them, but apparently, the Time Wraith was also confused by this strange world. It looked at Reverse-Flash, yet suddenly could no longer sense the aura of time travel around him. For a moment, it did not know what to do.
"Uncle Stark, help me drive this thing away." Lu Mingyu looked at the Time Wraith, not daring to act recklessly. He was afraid Doctor Strange would sense that something was wrong with him and isolate him.
What he did not know was that when Tony had been unable to find any information on him, he had already begun to suspect Lu Mingyu's identity. Still, Tony continued to regard him as a friend—as the person who had saved his life.
