Background

Reverse-Flash is a speedster from another world who was displaced into the Marvel universe through a world rift. Unable to find either his doppelganger or anyone sharing his family name, he realizes that this universe lies outside his own parallel-world system. He is also being pursued by Time Wraiths and urgently seeks a way home. 30 32

He abducts Lu Mingyu after sensing the unusual Speed Force within him. Initially, he intends to absorb Lu's power to strengthen his own Speed Force, free himself from reliance on the Flash's power, and escape the Time Wraiths. Lu's knowledge of parallel worlds convinces him to spare Lu instead. 30

After helping defeat a Time Wraith, Reverse-Flash agrees to train Lu in exchange for Lu's help returning him to his own world. Though he is openly identified as a villain, he cooperates with Lu against Black Lantern Quicksilver and the Dark Blade. 32 33 34
