After a brief period of preparation, Uchiha Yato was about to set out on a new journey.
Over the past two days, both Hiruzen Sarutobi and Jiraiya had been unusually quiet. Neither had played any tricks in front of Uchiha Yato, while Yato himself had been too busy to spare them any attention.
However, early this morning, Jiraiya suddenly appeared before Uchiha Yato and invited him to search for Tsunade together.
The same place, the same gates of Konoha. It seemed that nothing had changed.
Yet this time, things were somewhat different. Since this mission had been directly assigned by Konoha's higher-ups, not many members of the Uchiha Clan had come to see him off.
Even so, the subtle changes in Hiruzen Sarutobi's expression made his true thoughts easy to discern—he could hardly wait for Uchiha Yato to leave Konoha!
"You two are doing well. It doesn't matter if you can't find Tsunade right away, as long as you don't come back to Konoha."
At this moment, Hiruzen Sarutobi was so delighted that he temporarily forgot his usual official platitudes and directly voiced his true feelings.
Uchiha Yato did not hold back after hearing that.
"If Lord Hokage dies of old age, don't bother sending me a message either. After all, we still have to find Lady Tsunade."
Everyone who heard that felt a trace of awkwardness and instinctively moved a step away from Hiruzen Sarutobi.
Jiraiya was fairly tactful. He immediately dragged Uchiha Yato away from the area.
Hiruzen Sarutobi watched their departing backs for a while before finally leaving as well.
Meanwhile, the Kirigakure delegation atop a tall building had naturally noticed Uchiha Yato and Jiraiya leaving the village.
"Should we test them, or find an opportunity to cause them some trouble?"
