Background

Er Ming spent many years in the God Realm after following Tang San. After returning to the lower realm, he regarded most of its powerhouses with little concern and continued to act under Tang San's orders. 41

He is a Titan Giant Ape capable of taking human form and concealing his origin aura. This disguise initially prevents Di Tian from recognizing him at the Icefire Yin Yang Well. 40

Although Er Ming retains divine power and knowledge from his time in the God Realm, the restrictions of the lower realm and the God Realm prevent him from freely unleashing god-level strength. He considers using the God Realm imprint hidden within his body only when Di Tian's attacks place him in mortal danger, as doing so would attract the God Realm's attention. 42 44

Shrek Academy Crisis

After Wang Dong activates her life-saving pendant, Er Ming is dispatched from the Sect Master Hall to protect her and Huo Yuhao. He arrives after the Holy Spirit Cult has withdrawn, suppresses his anger at Shrek's devastation, and examines Huo Yuhao instead of pursuing the scattered enemy. 22 26

He discovers an abnormal divine trace within Huo Yuhao's spiritual origin but withholds its true nature from Shrek's elders. He recommends taking Huo Yuhao to the Haotian Sect for further investigation and stabilization. 26

Alliance with Shrek

As Mu En prepares Shrek for the aftermath of the attack, he asks Er Ming to represent the Haotian Sect in an alliance and guard the academy for six months. Er Ming agrees without prolonged hesitation. 27

Mu En later entrusts his light dragon core to Er Ming for Huo Yuhao's future recovery. Er Ming accepts the core and promises to oversee its refinement personally. 28

Icefire Yin Yang Well Conflict

Tang San sends Er Ming to Sunset Forest to retrieve an immortal herb for Huo Yuhao. On arrival, Er Ming finds Long Xiaoyao and Di Tian near the Icefire Yin Yang Well and assumes they have intruded upon a forbidden ground connected to his sect. 30 39 40

His demand that they leave escalates into a three-way battle. Long Xiaoyao and Di Tian temporarily join forces against him; Er Ming reveals his Titan Giant Ape form but is forced into a disadvantage. 41

After recognizing Di Tian as the Beast God, Er Ming seeks a truce because he remains reluctant to fight a fellow soul beast and understands the soul beast race's difficult situation. However, Long Xiaoyao renews his attack, and Di Tian concludes that Er Ming is not invincible in the lower realm. 42 43

Long Wushang then exploits the Water and Fire Dragon Kings' legacy to convince Di Tian that Er Ming is attempting to claim the Dragon Kings' resting place for humans. Di Tian condemns Er Ming as a traitor to the soul beast race and assaults him with overwhelming force, including Dragon God's Claw. 44

Aftermath of the Sunset Forest Conflict

Er Ming warns Di Tian that Long Xiaoyao and Long Wushang have already escaped, causing Di Tian to realize that Long Wushang's power had influenced his emotions. Di Tian nevertheless strikes Er Ming again before departing for the Icefire Yin Yang Well to investigate the Dragon Kings' remains and legacy. 44 45

Barely surviving, Er Ming returns to the Clear Sky Sect but falls unconscious due to his injuries. Da Ming determines that neither he nor Huo Yuhao can be adequately treated without the lost immortal herbs and contacts Tang San for help. 45 46

Tang San orders Huo Yuhao returned to Shrek Academy for treatment through the Golden Ancient Tree's power, while ordering Da Ming to stabilize Er Ming's condition until he can return to the God Realm. Da Ming privately fears that waiting for such compensation will leave Er Ming with irreversible hidden injuries. 47
