The three figures quickly sprang apart!
The next second, Vegeta charged at Ōten again!
The moment Vegeta took off, Goku charged after him!
Ōten didn't underestimate them in the slightest. His figure became a red blur as he met their charge!
"Haah!!!"
Vegeta unleashed a rapid flurry of punches at Ōten. Countless fists rained down, but Ōten dodged them with ease!
At that moment, Goku's fist shot toward him at tremendous speed. Ōten turned and threw a punch of his own!
Their fists collided violently. Then Ōten's fist suddenly turned into a claw, and he grabbed Goku by the arm!
"Ha!!!"
Goku was sent flying straight toward Vegeta, who was charging in again!
The two collided in a very real, very close embrace!
"Kakarot, get out of my way!"
Vegeta roughly shoved Sun Wukong aside!
Goku rubbed his head. "Ow, that hurt! Vegeta, your body's way too hard!"
"Shut up!"
Vegeta instantly flew into a rage!
Then both of them looked toward Ōten, who stood across from them with a smile.
Vegeta powered up again, blue flames of energy rising around him!
"SaIyɑns don't lose! The closer we get to the edge, the more we can surpass our limits!"
With a furious shout, Vegeta suddenly charged at Ōten!
Ōten's eyes narrowed. A terrifying pressure bore down on Vegeta!
Vegeta wasn't afraid in the least. His blue aura clashed again and again with Ōten's pressure, determination etched across his face!
"Vegeta, I'm coming to help!"
Goku powered up as well. The three of them clashed in the sky above Destruction God's Realm, their energy surging and tangling together!
The entire Destruction God's Realm shook violently, and the three men's shouts grew louder and louder!
"Ahhh!!!"
The next second!
All three vanished from where they stood!
"What a terrifying clash!"
Son Gohan gazed up at the sky and murmured.
Even now, the space above Destruction God's Realm was still trembling, giving off a deep, continuous "hummm."
BOOM!!!
BAM BAM BAM!!!
The clashes in the sky grew more and more terrifying!
Ōten, Sun Wukong, and Vegeta fought from high above down to the ground, then from the ground back up into the sky!
Terrifying energy filled the air, and deafening booms rang out again and again!
The sound of fist against fist echoed nonstop!
"Whis, I didn't expect Lord Inspector to be this powerful. Do you think Goku and Vegeta will lose even if they team up?"
Beerus watched the fight in the sky.
Whis's face remained expressionless. Then he smiled and asked, "Lord Beerus, who do you think will win?"
"I don't know," Beerus replied coldly.
"Heh..."
Whis smiled but said nothing.
Bam!!!
Thud!!!
Just then, the sound of an impact came from up ahead!
Everyone gathered their thoughts and looked over. Sun Wukong and Vegeta were lying on the ground, gasping for breath. They clearly had no strength left to fight.
"Lord Ōten is amazing! Haha, I give up!" Sun Wukong said with a wry smile.
Vegeta clenched his teeth and simply shut his eyes, clearly dissatisfied with the result.
Ōten slowly descended from the sky. He, too, was panting heavily, evidently having used up a great deal of strength!
As the battle ended, Beerus and Whis appeared before the three of them in an instant!
Just then, Vegeta and Sun Wukong suddenly spoke in unison. "I'll challenge you again, no matter what!"
Vegeta realized that he'd said the same thing as Sun Wukong. Still as proud as ever, he turned his head away, while Sun Wukong gave a few wry laughs!
Ōten seemed to have caught the two Saiyans' fighting spirit. He smiled and said, "All right. I'll accept your challenge anytime!"
After that battle, Ōten's place in Goku and the others' eyes had subtly changed. Before, they'd only been curious about his identity. Now, they respected him as a powerful fighter!
"Whis, arrange a room for me. I'd like to stay here for a while!"
Whis smiled and nodded.
Ōten then looked at Beerus. "Beerus, I'll be staying here for a few days. Is that all right?"
At once, Beerus replied, "It would be the honor of all Universe 7 to have you stay here. You're more than welcome!"
Just then, Ōten added, "Oh, and Gohan will be staying with me. Remember to find us two rooms!"
Three days later!
Destruction God's Realm!
BAM BAM BAM!!!
Even after more than a hundred attacks, not one had made the slightest difference!
Vegeta slammed his fist into the ground!
After their battle with Ōten, Vegeta and Sun Wukong had pestered Whis into putting them through brutal training.
But the gap between them and an Angel was simply unfathomable!
So they had even less luck when sparring with Whis!
"All right, that's enough for today!" Whis said with a smile.
Just then, Ōten walked over!
"Whis, you're pretty strong. How about we spar sometime?"
Whis smiled. "You're joking, Lord Ōten. How could I fight you?"
"If Lord Zeno found out, we'd be in trouble!"
Ōten rolled his eyes. He knew how powerful Angels were, and their status was extremely unusual. Whis was just brushing him off!
"What if I made you a super delicious meal?"
At Ōten's words, Whis's eyes lit up at once!
"Is that true, Lord Ōten? A super delicious meal? Better than instant noodles?"
Ōten ignored Whis's naïve question!
Before he'd crossed over, he'd been a top chef. How could anyone compare his cooking to instant noodles!
Even if he whipped up a couple of random dishes, they'd probably be delicacies to Whis!
"Whis, making you a super delicious meal is no problem, but we'll have to spar first!"
Whis's face immediately showed that he understood!
Lord Inspector was clearly a battle maniac who just wanted to fight strong opponents!
But Whis couldn't resist good food, either!
After thinking it over, though, he still declined. "I think I'll pass. I'm afraid I won't have the good fortune to taste anything Lord Ōten makes!"
He didn't mind sparring, but he really disliked Ōten's attempt to trick him into it!
Besides, he didn't believe that an inspector living in the God Realm could cook anything good!
He was certain Ōten couldn't cook and was just trying to lure him in!
Hearing Whis turn him down, Ōten thought to himself, I refuse to believe you can resist the temptation of good food!
With Whis's insatiable appetite, there was no way he could turn down even a hearty dish!
Lately, Ōten's training hadn't made much progress. If he could fight the Angel Whis, his strength would surely improve by leaps and bounds. After all, Saiyans grew stronger when they faced stronger opponents!
Once Ōten had made up his mind, he stopped pestering Whis and soon headed to the kitchen in Destruction God's Realm!
To his surprise, the kitchen had every utensil he could need!
Ōten immediately took out the Universal Capsule Bulma had given him. It contained the fresh ingredients he'd specifically asked Bulma to prepare!
"Whoosh, whoosh..."
With Ōten's flurry of movements, fragrant aromas soon filled the kitchen. Whis, outside, had caught the scent long ago!
He exclaimed, "So Lord Inspector really can cook!"
