Background / History

Ōten was originally a powerless transmigrator who arrived directly at Zeno’s Palace. He answered Zeno’s questions honestly, earned permission to remain there, entertained Zeno daily, and received occasional instruction from the Grand Priest. After two years of relentless training, he reached a level comparable to a God of Destruction. 1

After stopping his battle with Champa, Zeno appointed Ōten as the Divine Realm Inspector. His duties include supervising lower-realm divine officials and submitting an annual report to Zeno. Ōten chose Earth of Universe 7 as his first inspection destination. 3 4

On Earth, Ōten met Son Gohan, defeated Frieza’s army, and took an increasingly active role in protecting the Dragon Ball World. He later invited Gohan to follow him, becoming Gohan’s master and beginning his special training. 7 11 19
