Background / History

Vegeta meets Ōten at the Destruction God's Realm and immediately insists that he, rather than Goku, should fight the Inspector. His Super Saiyan Blue assault is effortlessly defeated, and he initially rejects Goku's help out of pride. Ōten's provocation eventually forces him to cooperate, triggering Vegeta's first documented movement toward Deep Blue. 12 14 15

During the Universe 6 tournament, Vegeta faces Hit. He learns to read Hit's Time-Skip but is pushed back when Hit extends its duration. Vegeta responds by growing in battle, pushing beyond Super Saiyan Blue and taking their brutal match to a draw. 36 37 38

Future Trunks's arrival challenges Vegeta's pride when he learns that his son fled from Black Goku's future. Vegeta nevertheless travels to the future to confront the threat. He initially overwhelms Black Goku in Super Saiyan Blue, but Black Goku's Super Saiyan Rosé transformation quickly turns the battle into a humiliating defeat. 69 77 78
