| Functional NPC authority | 494–495 | Gains System-derived authority linked to her role as the “Interference” component in a three-person framework, further strengthening her gate ability; unknown destinations nevertheless remain random. 494 495 |
| Quasi-Servant reinforcement | 563 | Receives stable simulated Spirit Origin enhancements, becoming a quasi-Servant with a Servant-like ability panel and Riding A. 563 |
Background
Ciri is the surviving Princess of Cintra. Nilfgaard’s invasion destroyed her homeland, after which she was taken to Kaer Morhen by her adoptive father, Geralt. The Witchers trained her in their traditional methods, but she never underwent the Trial of the Grasses after Triss opposed it. 252
She inherited the complete Elder Blood, an exceptionally rare elven bloodline said to grant dominion over time and space. Her status as the prophecy-linked “Swallow” made her a target for those seeking to exploit her power, while the Wild Hunt pursued her to reclaim the ability their Aen Elle people had lost. 162 163 564
While escaping through a portal, Ciri accidentally crosses into Earth and crashes into Gu Mo. Initially suspicious and frightened, she accepts his offer of protection, knowledge, and a place to stay in exchange for helping him explore other worlds. 160 162 163 165
Appearance
Ciri is a silver- or white-haired girl with green eyes, a visible facial scar, and a lean build shaped by Witcher-style training. 160 406 547
- White or silver hair. 160 406
- Green eyes. 406
- Facial scar. 160
- Carries and trains with a silver sword. 160 169
- Later operates an orbital vehicle during interplanetary travel. 553 563
Personality
Ciri initially behaves as a wary fugitive: anxious, suspicious of Gu Mo’s motives, and conditioned to expect pursuit from the Wild Hunt. Even when she wants to act impulsively, she learns to assess her circumstances and make pragmatic decisions. 162 163
Living with Gu Mo’s group broadens her perspective and gives her the security to pursue mastery of the Elder Blood rather than merely using it to flee. She trains diligently, wants to justify her role within the team, and increasingly chooses to confront problems in her own world instead of escaping them. 168 225 387
After returning to her world, Ciri develops a visibly more confident, spirited, and queen-like bearing. She recognizes that she lacks conventional political preparation, but actively accepts support and responsibility in her campaign to restore Cintra and unify the world. 490
Abilities & Skills
Elder Blood
Ciri’s inherited Elder Blood grants extraordinary potential over space and time.
- Opens Teleportation Gates between worlds. 162 165
- Can travel across both space and time. 495
- Initially uses her power instinctively and cannot see or select the unknown world beyond a newly opened gate. 165 495
- Can later return reliably to registered locations and distinguish them from unknown worlds. 207 262
- Her developed control supports the simultaneous deployment of hundreds of contained, precisely positioned portals. 408
- Her bloodline contains unrealized potential to interfere with other people’s thoughts. 165 406
Interworld Navigation
Gu Mo positions Ciri as a strategically vital navigator rather than a frontline combatant.
- Opens routes into Dungeon worlds and enables Gu Mo to enter or leave them directly. 169 207
- Helps establish and operate the Teleportation Gate network and the “Gate of Worlds.” 214 262
- Supports Gu Mo’s exploration by opening gates for Consciousness Seeds and other cross-world operations. 262 265
- Trains by sending Europa-created lifeforms through planar gates to new worlds. 387
Witcher Training
Although commonly called a Witcher girl, Ciri is not a true Witcher and did not undergo mutation.
- Received swordsmanship and survival training at Kaer Morhen. 252
- Maintains regular silver-sword practice. 169
- Her Elder Blood gives her physical ability close to a Witcher’s without the Trial of the Grasses. 169 225
- Her baseline combat ability is initially far below Gu Mo, Kikyo, and other high-level allies. 168 169
Riding and Piloting
Ciri becomes an accomplished operator of advanced vehicles after adapting to life beyond her original world.
- Possesses Riding A through simulated Spirit Origin reinforcement. 563
- Pilots an orbital vehicle through extreme evasive maneuvers that keep it airborne despite severe damage. 563
- Uses Elder Blood teleportation to remove her vehicle from imminent planetary danger. 553
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Silver Sword — Ciri’s personal weapon, carried when she first arrives on Earth and used for continued training. 160 169
- Orbital vehicle — Single-pilot craft used for travel around the Solar System. 553
- Sword of Wisdom — A cracked golden sword entrusted to her by an aged Hero God as a countermeasure against the Monkey King. 553
Relationships
- Gu Mo — Protector, employer, mentor, and long-term ally. He recruits her for her gate ability, supports her attempts to understand the Elder Blood, and later provides Servants for her restoration campaign. 165 169 490
- Kikyo — Teacher and ally. Ciri studies under Kikyo after joining the group, though their different power systems limit her immediate progress. 168
- Tamamo-no-Mae — Fellow member of Gu Mo’s group. Tamamo requests Ciri’s help opening gates and later accompanies her back from the Third Northern War. 225 490
- Wild Hunt / Aen Elle — Ciri’s longstanding pursuers, who seek to recover the complete Elder Blood lost by their people. Gu Mo defeats their projected force, and Ciri later participates in destroying their base with his support. 163 164 564
- Lapis Lazuli Eyed Princess — Companion during the journey through the Milk Ocean; the two rely on one another while navigating a spacetime vortex. 563
Story Role / Major Arcs
Arrival on Earth and the Wild Hunt
Ciri accidentally enters Earth through a portal while fleeing and collides with Gu Mo. After being confronted with repayment for the damage she caused, she agrees to remain under his protection and assist with interworld travel. The Wild Hunt follows her to Horai Island, but Gu Mo defeats the entire projected force with ease. 160 163 164
Learning to Become a Navigator
Ciri begins studying with Kikyo and trains both swordsmanship and her Elder Blood. Her early value to the group is primarily strategic: opening routes between worlds and eventually allowing safe, convenient Dungeon entry and exit. 168 169 207
Gate Network and World Exploration
Ciri helps construct Teleportation Gates despite only knowing their practical construction rather than their theory. As her control improves, she becomes Gu Mo’s principal gatekeeper, opening routes for world exploration, Consciousness Seed deployments, and large-scale ecological projects. 214 262 387 408
Return to the Witcher World
After finding her world and losing access to it again, Ciri struggles with trauma connected to the Wild Hunt and her years as a fugitive. Once she regains the chance to return, she uses her inherited legitimacy and Gu Mo’s Servants to begin restoring her land, fighting the Third Northern War, and pursuing the unification of her world. 405 490
Multiversal Crisis
Ciri later undertakes increasingly dangerous interstellar and multiversal missions. She narrowly escapes the Monkey King’s attack, receives the Sword of Wisdom, crosses the Milk Ocean with the Lapis Lazuli Eyed Princess, and witnesses information from innumerable versions of herself across different timelines. 553 563 564
Trivia
