Background

Yang Dong was a transmigrator who arrived on Douluo Continent before Tang San’s era. As the son of Wind Sword Sect Master Yang Tianyi, he was expected to inherit the sect through the Wind Sword Martial Soul. Instead, the Wind Sword was consumed by black energy during his awakening and mutated into the Ghost Hand, leaving him with only Rank 1 Innate Soul Power. 1 2 3

Despite his apparent lack of talent, the Ghost Hand accelerated his cultivation. He reached Level 10 soon after awakening, acquired his first Soul Ring from a Bronze Tiger, and began uncovering the mysteries of the Bronze Gate within his sea of consciousness. 4 7 9
